My closing set at .TAG's queer party on 27-7, the The theme of  “Ju Le Road” borrowed an actual road name from Chengdu, wishes to vocalize the bravery on the .TAG dance floor for the local rainbow culture in Chengdu.  A large part of .TAG's original vision was to create a safe and free space that conveys high-quality rhythm while connecting the regular dancers with representatives from minorities.

I love opening sets.

Opening sets allow the DJ to create the atmosphere for an entire night and are a true challenge (and lost artform) for those DJs, who travel from town to town every weekend playing 2 hour peak-time sets.

Opening sets allow to play tracks (and / or songs) that you usually don't hear in a club when you arrive after a certain time due to the DJs fear of losing people off the dancefloor (so what? :-D ).

For this and other reasons I dedicate this mix to those who tend to come (too) late and to those who come early at the same time and send a huge "THANK YOU!" to those who were participating LIVE in this session. 
Also to those who contributed a few "WHOOHOOOs" in silent passages - one of the many nice things you only get when playing vinyl :)

It was a pleasure seeing the packed floor bouncing...early, did I mention that? 

There is this line in the song "Hello" by The Beloved:

    All you late-comers, just step on board.
    I'm happy, glad you came.
    So welcome home again!

This year is the 20th anniversary of Dutch label Creme Organization. Its consistent complications of sounds from West Holland and beyond have won it a reputation for high quality, innovative techno, among other genres. To commemorate, we caught up with its boss, DJ TLR, and asked him some questions. And, of course, he provided us an exclusive mix to match!

An essential piece of DJ History here! Starting in the early 1980s, Mills, using the name "The Wizard", was a recurring guest DJ on "The Electrifying Mojo" radio show on WJLB in Detroit. He performed DJ tricks like beat juggling and scratching during his sets (some of which were pre-recorded).

Recorded by a guy called Needlz way back when in 7 parts, more of which will follow.

Eelco has been obsessed with music since a very young age. Like many Techno DJ’s he’s always had an eclectic taste in music that goes from metal to jazz to classical, drum & bass, hip hop, etc. He had an epiphany when he went to his first AWAKENINGS techno party in Amsterdam many years ago. Since then he’s been addicted to this pulsing sound. His favorite styles are Techno and Electro. “The first time I walked into a Warehouse. And FELT that hard Bass, sharp hi-hats, and hypnotizing techno sound, I knew I had come home. 
I want to spread my religious passion for the sounds of proper TECHNO!
