Emerging British producer Joe Corti is a man on a roll right now. Having recently completed his first US tour, the London­born musician is now set to release the debut release from his new label, China White. A four ­track EP that’s notable for its dancefloor prowess and undoubted charm, the label’s inaugural release into the mind of a very special talent indeed.

The release opens up with our premiere, ‘My Baby’, a breezy, soul­inspired dancefloor cut of the sort that’s sure to induce many a smile. A feel­good party anthem that’s arrived just in time for summer, it marks an auspicious start to an altogether killer package. ‘Half Moon’ ups the ante even further, this time via a rambunctious, baseline led anthem with intentions that are firmly switched towards the floor. Further indication of the producer’s knack for unearthing a clever sample, it’s a peak­time flavoured cut that’s sure to go down a treat.

Opening up the B side is the sounds of ‘Hollywood Arms’. This time, Corti brings things toward deeper territory, with the end result being a track that veers between the eerie and the melancholy but also shows off the deep range that makes up his production arsenal. The most banging of the tracks comes last in the shape of ‘Without You’. A heavy cut featuring clever vocal samples that weave in and out, its soulful edge help lend it a unique charm that forces parallels with Honey Dijon at her best and is sure to prove a hit with discerning DJs from both the house and techno side of the spectrum. An all­round thrilling EP that’s never lacking in personality, Corti’s latest truly is a joy to behold.

'Need U Tonight' is peak time feel good house. Dripping with French House stylings: the bassline, the guitars, the soaring vocal sample, the filters and that restrained screaming guitar solo all combine to create a masterpiece. Yes!

In case you are more of a Soundcloud kind of person, here is Friday's stream. I'll upload Saturday's stream at some point later during the week. I understand that nobody has the time to actually listen to so much music but I have an inherent and insatible need to keep flexing my chops and explore my records more and more and it puts a nice bit of pressure on myself to do this publicly. 

Again, it's great if you find the time to listen to these but ultimately I am making them for myself and it's a mere offer to join the ride. Maybe the goal shouldnt be that you listen to each and every one of these but just to find the one that really resonates with you and make that your own. 

I just wanna play all those records that otherwise I just dont get to play. 

In these tough times, all we can do is work harder, shine brighter, try to connect more with each other - and our selves really. 

My expertise is music, so that's what i have to give.
