Te Puke Thunder is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most sought after cannabis strains. 

Hailing from the volcanic regions of New Zealand, Te Puke Thunder is prized for its larger buds and higher potency. Gaining popularity in the 70s, the polyploid plant succeeded in becoming a well renowned strain and was notably displayed in a number of Amsterdam coffee shops.

New Zealand authorities believe they have successfully wiped out the majority, if not all, possible trails for the whereabouts of the venerable strain. Some believe there may not be a single seed left with the unmatched genetics of the original Te Puke Thunder strain.

These VA EP releases feature three producers who contribute two originals, with the end result being a unique amalgamation of sound, something which has now become synonymous with the Sound Avenue affiliate. Invited to showcase their talents for the 26th edition are Gonzalo Aranda from Argentina, ShemoW from Sri Lanka, and two other producers from Argentina; Lean Agüero & Julian Luque.

‘Do You Know’, the latest edit of Whitney Houston’s ultimate hit ‘How will I know’ does exactly that to any given dance floor. The mysterious artist who made this edit uses hypnotic breakbeat rhythm layered with fat stabs and arpeggiated cowbells. These elements create positive and a feel-good vibe, but if you add one of the best vocals in the history of pop music on the top, then you have an absolute dance floor weapon.
