Release Info: 
RUKUS returns with another fresh release from Matador, this time in the form of his mammoth Eightball EP.

Matador is a new school techno pioneer who has consistently served up hard hitting beats with plenty of synth invention and infectious rhythms. While the last year has been unprecedented for the live music industry, the Dublin producer has shown no let-up in his creativity and musical output as this new one shows.

The title track ‘Eightball’ is an infectious groove with a plucky 101 lead line, and rolling melodies peppered with tribal chants. It's pure dance floor gold. Then, on 'Higher,' a pumping bassline alongside seductive vocals and captivating synth work enthrals the listener and dances with the subconscious.

These are two more standout tracks from this vital artist.

With early releases on standout labels like Afterlife and Innervisions, as well as a recent Cercle set under his belt, Germany's Innellea has accomplished in a few years what many strive for in a career. As an artist, Innellea takes clear inspiration from the modern techno scene, however, where many acts use that inspiration to do little beyond emulating what's trending, the Munich-based producer lets his creative drive run free. As a result, Innellea's sound explores many untouched nooks of the genre, providing listeners with distinctly moody and often cinematic soundscapes to wander.

Innellea follows his coveted Cercle performance with the forthcoming release of his three track EP, 'It's Us'. The release's title track is a finely tempered breakbeat melting pot of drama and melody. It's stripped down, but only in the sense that there's no excess fat on the bone. Innellea gives each individual element in the mix space to breathe, allowing his attention to detail as a producer to shine along the way.  "It's Us" is led by sprawling synths that crescendo as they linger, swelling until they break into the tune's warm and unctuous release. Innellea comments on the release, explaining,

“Sometimes we need to see things in a wider angle and take a step back to see the bigger picture. In that sense it's just you and me; It’s Us being part of something intangible.”

Prelusion: Ein Track der sich anfühlt, als würdest du im Abendrot ein heranziehendes Gewitter über dem Meer beobachten während deine Füße im warmen Sand tänzeln. Mark Tarmonea & Yannek Maunz modulieren ihre Melodie wie eine sich auftürmende Sturmwolke, bevor sie die Luft über der Tanzfläche mit analoger Knarzigkeit marmorieren. Es klingt monumental und dramatisch, ist aber auch von einer zeitlupenartigen Entrücktheit durchzogen. Der Remix von Mollono.Bass hält sich nah am intensiven Melodiegeschehen des Originals, färbt dieses jedoch mit einer etwas dunkleren Klangfarbe ein und schafft durch langgezogene, fließende Bewegungen eine  Stimmung von hypnotischem Understatement. Stephan Zovsky schlägt gewissermaßen die andere Richtung ein, denn er lässt die Lichter seiner technoiden Trommelmaschine blitzen und erzeugt dementsprechend viel Druck im Rhythmusbereich.

Prelusion: A track that feels like watching a thunderstorm brewing in the glow of an evening over the sea while your naked feet are shuffling in the warmth of a sandy beach. Mark Tarmonea & Yannek Maunz modulate the melody as if it was the mounds of a bulging cloud before they marble the air above the dancefloor with the analogue bite of the lead synth. It sounds monumental, it sounds dramatic - yet there’s also an underlying vibe of dreamlike tranquility. The remix of Mollono.Bass picks up the melodic arrangement of the original but presents it in slightly darker colours. Long and fluent movements create an intense feeling of understated hypnotism. Stephan Zovsky goes the other way, as the lights on his technoid drum machines flash like an arcade game, providing a profound amount of rhythmic boost.
