ENTANGLED MIND takes us Over the Moon with Nocturnal Drift: “I was very excited to be invited to share a guest mix for the Over the Moon Radiozora series, as it has been a perfect opportunity to dive deeper into the expansive chiller side of my project. Featuring a number of unreleased works in progress, as well as some favorite selections from my discography, ‘Nocturnal Drift’ is a soundtrack to help your mind and heart unwind and drift into a blissful, dreamlike state, where you can hear what you need to hear and feel what you need to feel.” Entangled Mind is the alias of Marissa Barbato, a Boston-based producer and lifelong musician. Balancing organic instrumentation with skillful electronic production, they use sound as a medium to inspire connection. With intuitive phrasing, complex layering, and thoughtful arrangements, they weave together their own recordings and carefully crafted sounds into meaningful commands of tension and release.

I came across it this morning and though the arrangement is not exactly the way I would do things intentionally, I enjoythe playfulness of it. I imagine myself floating through the fresh pow on a mountain top - a place I used to spend a lot of my time. Sharing for those that find joy in the music <3

Heart Opening Soundscapes

Just a few days ago, I returned from an epic two-week adventure through Egypt—land of myth, majesty, and timeless wonder. From a sun-soaked camel ride beside the Great Pyramid, to a moonlit Nile River cruise drifting between ancient temples, to desert highways that carried us from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea, and even a horse-drawn carriage ride through the sacred pathways of Edfu—I witnessed a living tapestry of history, culture, and story unfolding all around me. Sand to stone, temple to temple, sacred waters to endless sky.

As an artist, one of the ways I process experiences like this is by creating something that captures the energy still moving through me. “Under the Sacred Sun” is my way of honouring the memories—etching them into sound—so they can continue to dance, inspire, and remind me (and you) of the ancient magic that still lives in our world.
