Function’s tale begins with a gregarious mother who would keep him occupied as rookie selector for neighbourhood gatherings while growing up in Brooklyn and New Jersey. Music was his world, and it wasn’t long before he found himself standing in awe before Jeff Mills in 90s NYC at the infamous nerve centre of Club Kid hedonism Limelight, where he went on to pick up a Thursday-night residency himself. Few DJs can claim to have been around during such a moment in club history, but ten years later came another. His friendships with Regis, Silent Servant and Female turned into the much acclaimed collective Sandwell District, a pivotal sound for an era that forced everyone’s attention towards Berlin. There he became Berghain resident and played a role in shaping the club’s fabled musical opus. In the years since (and following Sandwell’s dissolution) he’s matured in his own right, with a number of mesmeric releases (most recently ‘Green EP’ released on his self-run imprint Infrastructure back in May), collaborations with the likes of Vatican Shadow, Luke Slater and Steve Bicknell, a heavy touring schedule that criss-crosses the world at rapid clip and Bassiani residency to boot. Function’s techno is an ambient fog in which sinister arctic synths and perilous rhythms collide to produce an exquisite fusion that would be hard to mistake for anyone else. Those grainy textures, subterranean ripples and punishing kick drums are a hypnotic rework of his many influences: 90s loops with a more modern and sharper industrial edge. Bassiani Podcast 186 is an impassioned live-recording from the club that weaves through a number of hammering tracks and steadily climbs towards its furious climax. A hair-raising three-hour beast courtesy of this decorated techno behemoth.

Born in Sweden but operating out of Berlin, Philippa Pacho has been making waves in the scene as of late, notably amassing a stream of incendiary performances at some of the world’s finest (and most demanding) clubs, including Bassiani and Fuse. Herald of a fast-paced, no-surrender type of DJing, all eyes set on bringing crowds to a simmer thru and thru, Philippa muscles her way across various techno sub-genres and rhythms with conviction and poise, alternatively pushing classic Detroit-influenced material, Nordic minimalism and more Continental European-informed expressions, as she harnesses the very best of these through uncompromising selections with a pristine mixing technique. Vegim's journey into the underground began in the mid 90's. At first, music was just a hobby. Once he began collecting records his obsession grew stronger and he invested in his first pieces of music equipment. 1998 was the year Vegim became a full time slave to the underground. He rapidly developed his skills as a DJ and in his Production. The desire to tell his story through music took over and Vegim has never looked back. Earliest experiments in the studio go back to around 2002. Today, Vegim is recognized as one of Techno's most influential artists. Not only a skilled DJ/Producer but also a graphics designer and coneptionalist that has a style unlike any other.

He has released his own tracks and done countless remixes for many of the best known labels in the Techno realm. His tracks and remixes are well supported by dj’s like: Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, Chris Liebing, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Dax J, Slam and many more.

Kaiser is the alias of Gianluca Caiati, Italian artist, based in Berlin, Germany. Founder and owner of KSR imprint since 2018.
In his relatively short career, he already managed to build up an impressive discography with releases on labels such as Soma, Animal Farm and Voxnox. He recently announced his new EP "Towards the Mess EP" on Bas Mooy´ MORD imprint, which will be available in March.

For the most recent collaborative release curated by WSNWG, label head Rødhåd invited young, Brighton-based breakthrough producer and DJ Rene Wise to his studio for a week-long jam session in 2019. 
The end result is four driving, hypnotic Techno tracks with a swinging groove and 90s-inspired percussion. Made for the club, they build up tension and captivate listeners with rolling baselines, funky rhythms and mystical melodies.

WSNWG’s landscape continues to expand as Rødhåd joins forces with American producer and live act Lady Starlight to deliver an EP with four heady collaborative jams. Lady Starlight’s powerful modular live setup was wired into Rødhåd’s East Berlin studio for a series of recording sessions this summer, which found the duo combining knowledge and ideas to create tracks filled with urgency, rhythm, strength, and mystery.
