What I wrote in 2018 I would not write today, but I will keep it below as a record of my past. Right now my perspective on the topic of "DJ" is shifting a lot. In interesting ways. Although I stopped DJing officially in Winter 2019 this mixtape still perfectly is capable to describe my direction and personal taste as an (again) performing DJ and listener in 2022.

September 2018:
Summer ends, autumn comes, and with it my new mixtape. As my personal taste of music continuously has changed (at some point drastically) since my last one, it was necessary to record a new one to showcase what I am currently listening to, getting inspired by and trying to do within my mixes. After several attempts planning and reconsidering the mixtape again and again, I finally decided to do it the best way I know how: live and in the moment. Although it is recorded at home (with companionship of some white wine), this mixtape is raw. 

Regardless my taste will continue to vary like the seasons, maybe faster. I tend to name things I create, because I think they are unique and need it or rather think it makes them unique (not to mention that it helps to keep an overview in my archive). But I realised that this is just a mix. It is not a complex composition. It is just an arrangement of music I appreciate that will continue to diversify.
