Red Against Black

The group of Effigy was created in October 2004 and started making appearances since January 2006. After a short break and some members’ replacement the band now consists of five members, Konstantinos (guitars/vocals), Elli (vocals), Nikos (bass), Michalis (drums) and Eleni (violin). Its sound has alternative/rock characteristics that approaches the jazz limits, while, at the same time, the instrumentations define a more progressive/avant-garde line. Effigy have played in various live stages of Athens such as Rodeo Club, Club 22 (Summer In The City Festival 2005), Small Music Theatre, An Club, Underworld (Summer In The City Festival 2006), Gagarin (Yurivision 2007), as well as at Patra's Musicwave Festival. They have released a 4-tracked demo titled “Autobar” and participated with their song "Sinners On The Right" at the “Yurivision 2007” compilation. In 2010 they are preparing for more live gigs and the recording of their next demo.
