Alaska-based electronic artist Austin Williams, aka Nu Partial, announces his digital-only sophomore EP with Renraku, RRRRECEPTION. Scheduled to release worldwide April 2nd, the 24-minute experimental bass ride powers through submerged frequency manipulation and dynamic sound collages. Centered through the ethos of dance music, Nu Partial tethers each track into an avant-garde journey where dream-like lucid states and subconscious explorations are front and center.


A bulk of RRRRECEPTION was created while Nu Partial resided in Mississippi, developing the final aspects of the EP after relocating to Alaska in support of his mother during a surgery. “I don't care if I live in Anchorage for another 20 years,” Nu Partial adds. “I will never get over the view. Maybe subconsciously it affects my production.” Two distinct worlds in environment and culture, the music is somehow streamlined through this recording process, behaving as creative travel for Nu Partial that stretched beyond each location’s pulse of life. Vision dictating path over immediate circumference of scene.


Much like his debut EP, The Maw, Nu Partial’s RRRRECEPTION pulls from the ever-flowing well of life known as bass music. Elements push towards the experimental, built on a coalescence that snaps back and forth like a pinball, stitching together pieces of garage/2step, glitch, noise, downtempo, drum-n-bass, hip-hop, and lo-fi.

TRACK 1: "S0LID_WATER: so wa ver. 5"

Hidden deep within the compounds of a secret base 48 dimensions away there was a physics breaking phenomenon that occurred.
S0lid Water.
No not ice and no not some water with something put into it that makes the water solid (the ingredients on that would say water, something that makes it solid).
It is just water. Only H2O. Imagine the people in this dimension having their favorite snacks. It's not a bag of lays potato chips, it's a bag of lays water chips. Everyone in this dimension is well hydrated and water is easy to transport between kingdoms.

Effy Tō comes to the Milky Way galaxy with this hip track in order to get people thinking about the possibilities of having S0lid Water. Storing this concept deep within the subconscious of the average Earthling.

TRACK 2: PARA11E1_: 11e1 ver. 3

Everything in the far dimension is parallel, two lines never touching going opposite directions. Forget all of that intersectionization of the current, it becomes para11e1.

Well excpet for Effy Tō's album artwork for this new galactic smash hit. Something went wrong when they were transporting it to this dimension and the image became all warped and not parallel :/ I guess you'll have to transport on over to the original dimension in order to get the full feeling of this track.

TRACK 3: AUDI0SYNTH2S1S: n1ght ver. 2

The sun never rises light years away, all of the energy from the sun has been harvested and used to produce music. Music is the energy of Effy Tō's species, they don't need the sun in order for plants to grow or for people to be healthy. The energy of the sun is changed into musical energy.

The sun actually doesn't exist anymore. All of the sun was used by Effy Tō and other galactic musicians, so now they are here! The sun of the milky way is the next sun to be used for these epic tracks.

Basically everything survives through photosynthesis, but it's audiosynthesis.
