Deeply rooted in the club culture of their hometown for over a decade, Manchester’s Mason Collective’s rise from local promoters to become one of the international scene’s most in demand acts is a clear demonstration of their unique talent. Following their striking two-track EP ‘A Little Affection’ for sister label DFTD, the trio now debut on London house institution Defected with ‘People In Love’ featuring fellow Mancunian singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine. Regularly playing in Ibiza this summer for the likes of Paradise, The Martinez Brothers’ residency at Hï and Defected’s own weekly parties, ‘People In Love’ now emerges as a late entry for potential record of the season, its chugging bassline and decadent synth-work making a club-ready backdrop for Bipolar Sunshine’s ethereal vocal.

JammHot are a Leeds and London-based production and DJ partnership consisting of Matt Mason, Jamie Adams and Akara Etteh. Having each separately pursued their own musical ventures, the three friends decided to draw on their differing backgrounds and influences to create their own heady blend of house that’s rich in musicality and sense of adventure, yet aimed squarely towards the dancefloor. Perhaps inevitably given their expansive musical heritage, JammHot are always looking to the future while lacing their productions with a deep-seated affection for golden eras of the past. 

JammHot built their profile with original productions and remixes on such DJ staples as Leftroom, Lost My Dog and Dirt Crew, as well releasing their debut artist EP on Huxley’s Saints & Sonnets imprint. The brand new “Given you tears” on Morris Audio is another JammHot trademark release fusing old and new house memories to make this an all summer tune. Turn to the Jack Fell Down remix for a mellow old school vibe or to the Jonny Cade remix for a more pumpin clubby feel. Yeah, it's all Jammhot!
