February 28th 2014 Efterklang performed a unique concert together with Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester (South Denmark Philharmonic), Sønderjysk Pigekor (South Denmark Girls Choir), Hans Ek (conductor) and a string of special guests.
The concert featured songs from the entire Efterklang discography as well as unreleased and so far unknown Efterklang songs. The arrangements for the orchestra were made by Allan Gravgaard Madsen, Daniel Bjarnason, Van Dyke Parks, Karsten Fundal, Hans Ek and Missy Mazzoli.

Efterklang called it The Last Concert, but they are indeed still here.

In September 2008 Efterklang and The Danish National Chamber Orchestra collaborated on a special, start to finish, performance of Efterklang's 2nd album Parades from 2007. 

The concert was recorded and filmed and was released in 2008 as a live album and concert film. 

Efterklang later performed Parades with local orchestras in London, Leeds, Amsterdam, and Stockholm.

As previously revealed (https://vimeo.com/44683198), last summer Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen and Rasmus Stolberg visited Piramida, an abandoned mining settlement located on Spitsbergen, just 1,000km from the North Pole. Nine days of exploring later, and the band had collected over 1,000 sound recordings and inspiration for the album they would subsequently write and record in Berlin. 

Accompanying Hollow Mountain is a specially-commissioned visual piece created and directed by Oodls (Jakob Steen & Christoffer Frandsen). The clip features the band's own photos from their trip to Piramida as well as elements of Piramida album artwork (designed by Hvass&Hannibal).

The Piramida Concert by Efterklang & Copenhagen Phil was recorded live at Copenhagen's Royal Academy of Music Concert Hall in October 2012. Over the course of two sold-out nights Efterklang - plus Peter Broderick, Katinka Fogh Vindelev and Budgie (Siouxsie and The Banshees) - teamed up with classical orchestra Copenhagen Phil and German conductor André de Ridder to perform the Danish act's fourth album Piramida in its entirety. Staged for the first time at the Sydney Opera House in May 2012, the orchestral arrangements were written by fellow Dane Karsten Fundal and New York composer Missy Mazzoli. The Piramida Concert also features 'So', a song written during recording sessions for Piramida, and 'Vælv', a classical piece commissioned by Efterklang and composed by Karsten Fundal. The live performance was mixed to tape by Francesco Donadello in the Vox-Ton studio in Berlin.. The Piramida Concert will only be available digitally and as a limited edition deluxe double gatefold vinyl (one black, one white + CD inside), designed by Danish artists Hvass&Hannibal.
