Originally breaking through with his 3 deck (now 4 deck) performances and seamless blending of all forms of house music Dutch DJ Roog shows off his musical skills on this Exclusive mix ahead of his show alongside Eskuche and Roger That this Friday July 12th. 

Part of both of the Netherland’s most influential duos - Hardsoul and Housequake - Roog is behind the seminal vocal classic ‘Back Together’ as Hardsoul and his acclaimed Defected In The House compilation alongside the likes of Masters At Work, Dennis Ferrer and Bob Sinclar. 

With fellow DJ Erick E, Housequake have taken their immersive 5 deck sound & DVJ light show to most major European festivals including launching their own annual Housequake festival, on top of a string of banging tracks and a successful compilation series.

Egg London Podcast 187 - ROOG

This is a recording of my set at the Defected stage during last Saturday’s  Lakedance festival. 
 
It’s filled with funky house tunes, and naturally also a wealth of acappella action to spice things up.
 
This is the first part of the show, I subsequently went on to play for almost 2.5 hours. 
 
The remainder of the set is unfortunately missing due to battery shortage on my recording device.

DEFECTED SET ROOG LAKEDANCE 10 AUG 2019

This is a recording of the set I played at a sold-out Glitterbox in De Marktkantine Amsterdam on 25 January 2020.
 
Since the main room was full on disco with grandmeisters Dimitri from Paris, Mousse T and Shapeshifters and I was asked to play a closing set I decided it would be appropriate to concentrate on the more housy vibes of the Glitterbox spectrum.
 
Due to another booking, I missed hearing my heroes play the main room, however, I witnessed the last 15 minutes of Glitterbox resident Melvo Baptiste... and he had the place rocking!
 
It’s unfortunate I didn’t have a mic to record the crowd reaction: that would have certainly enhanced the listening back experience... my Dutchie crowd went wild!
 
I was supposed to play till 4am but the room was still so packed that the organisation asked me to continue playing... with so many gems left unplayed I was happy to oblige!
 
I wish to thank Glitterbox again for the trust of having me perform at such a fantastic night. And I can’t say this enough: a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful, crazy and loyal Amsterdam crowd that have supported me for so many years. I appreciate each and every one of you from the depths of my soul.
