APOCALYPTIC PRAYER depicts the course of man's self-destruction at the hand's of it's own greed and need for instant satisfaction. The first movement builds an unstoppable Machine that explodes into an uncontrollable chaos, only to leave a stunned echo of human contemplation and reaction throughout the following movement as the human race comes to terms with the consequences of their actions. The 3:2:1 structure of the 6 minute piece culminates in the force of an explosion midway through the final movement, before the Crucifixus lament of the Clarinet guides us through the final admission of the Apocalyptic Prayer.
