Ego Riot releases setokaib dark electronica EP "Storm Shadow"

Paris-based sound alchemist setokaib is set to ignite with his latest EP, "Storm Shadow" Blending a rebellious spirit with pulsating electronica rhythms, setokaib creates an atmospheric journey through the realms of dark, EBM, noise, and industrial influences.

Artist Bio:
Born in Lille (France), setokaib started his musical journey a decade ago. Influenced by darkwave, emotional electronic music and punk DIY ethos, his style evolved naturally, infusing his vocals into dark-themed productions. He relocated few times to Montreal, east + north London warehouses, Berlin and finally to Paris which allowed him to connect with people from the underground scene all around the world and build his projects. Wherever he has gone, setokaib has left his musical stamp on the dancefloor through dj-sets and, more recently live performances.

In 2020, he co-founded the label "Silent Ground" for an official launch in 2023 to share his mysterious universe, surrounded by artists with whom he has a deep connection. With the first physical edition (V.A) to be released in Q1 2024.

A rebel in the electronic music landscape, setokaib invites you to travel further into the realms of consciousness.

Berlin based Mon Groove has rocked "Techno City" numerous times for 10 years. In Suicide Circus, he was for many years resident of recurring 
event series and besides apperances in clubs like about:blank, Sisyphos, 
Kater Blau, Kit Kat or Golden Gate and invitations to cities like 
Munich, Vienna, Strasbourg, Salzburg or Cologne, he also squatted 
various underground off-locations. 

The sneaky mob-actions in bank branches called "Reclaim the Sparkasse" elicited some media attention. 
In 2017 eventually came down to co-found "Fehler-Musik" to feature deep, melodic and dark techno releases alike. Melodic, deep, colorful, stompy or dark are also some adjectives describing the sets, that always try to amalgamate with the crowds and surroundings where they are occurring.

In the beginning, MIIIA's weekly radio show "Trip Out Session" attracted the most followers of the country's first 24-hour underground electronic music radio station - uDance, led to her first performance abroad at the opening ceremony of the 1st International Broadcasting Festival in Zurich.

In 2014, MIIIA has been selected as one of the top 12 Chinese artists who participated in the RBMA Bass Camp in Beijing held by RedBull Music Academy, she participated in various workshops and performed with artists such as Benji B, Axel Boman, Just Blaze and Hudson MohawKe.

In 2016, she was been selected to perform at the first Boiler Room in China. Since then, MIIIA has been toured around more than 40 different cites in China, and 20 different countries thru out Asia, North America and Europe, and has been invited to perform in many international music festivals such as Sonar HK, ADE, Rainbow Disco Club, FFKT, Epizode, etc.

In 2019, with San Tai Zi as her other alias, a full on hardware live set performance controls a variety of synthesizers, drum machines, modulars, and effects. For MIIIA, the existence of music has never been divided. 

The multi aliases of music producer and DJ allow her to constantly absorb information from the outside world and draw new inspirations, thereby creating musical energy that awakens ears and reaches the bottom of her heart. This pure and direct way of expression has created MIIIA's unique style in the electronic music circle.

HWA was born and grew up in Taipei and kicked off his DJ career in 1998 and soon started to produce his own music. He relocated to Beijing in 2006 and immediately became a part of China's electronic music scene, which had just emerged a few years before and was on its fast-rising phase.

HWA is considered a brute force in the promotion of Techno music and culture in the country, he was the early co-founder of Beijing's Lantern club, the most influential techno club in China's capital, he was also the co-owner of Acupuncture Records, which is the only techno label in China back in the 00's.

In the past decade, he has played in the finest clubs and festivals in Europe, as well as the top clubs in Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei, where Asian's best dance music scene exists.

Born in Campinas City (Brazil), Gabriela Mariano started her professional career in 2001, and really reinvented herself during the years. As resident in legendary clubs and parties in her hometown, and also former member of "Motormorfoses" project, a complex live set without any computer on the setup.

The "Motormorfoses" duo made their first european tour in 2007, fixing home in Barcelona and branding their name in the HardTechno scene all over the world by performing live and 4 decks sets in many of the greatest techno festivals and clubs in europe and beyond. 

As producer, she has many releases by several labels and her tracks are played by important artists such as Volvox, Kobosil, Shlomo, and more.
"Sheefit" is currently resident of "Bicuda", a queer party in Brasil. In her sets, she reaches the perfect balance between, light and shadow, tenderness and power.

David Restrepo AKA Damaged Clock is a Bogotá, Colombia based artist. His work has been developing for over 6 years, during which he has found the aesthetic that characterizes his live performance and musical production.
His easily recognizable sound is characterized by experimentation with raw and powerful sounds that create dark and melodic atmospheres.

DJ/music producer/label owner BB Deng was born in Hong Kong and raised in Taiwan.

She began her musical journey by playing in Metal & Electro Punk bands as the lead singer / keyboard / drum machine player and working as a resident DJ in clubs in Taipei. Later on she moved to Beijing and has by years developed to one of China's most active Techno artists.

In Beijing, she opened her club "The Boat" and has organized countless music/art events/ festivals for a decade. She is also a promoter/booker between East and West.
Since 2015, she started touring festivals and clubs worldwide, same year, BB Deng signed with the British electronic music equipment brand Novation as its first Taiwanese ambassador in China and began releasing her work on global labels.

BB Deng has called Berlin home since 2018 and remains active in the scene with the birth of her new event/label Ego Riot in 2022. She often uses her vocals in her productions, creating vibes with combinations of Techno Punk ft. EBM/Industry sound.

Brazilian born and Berlin based, @PatyVapor is a multifaceted artist known for her roles as DJ, curator and event producer. 
Co-founder of the female-focused event series 'Wisdom Tits & The Mad Express presents'. She is part of the Italian label-collective Slow Motion / Wrong Era, and Blum in her hometown Sao Paulo. Holding a residency at Sameheads, she regularly showcases her sound at the pinnacle of Berlin's venues, across Europe, and in Brazil, solo or as one half of the DJ duo ‘Wisdom Tits’ alongside Caillou.
Her sets evoke an old-school nostalgia of the ’80s, weaving through EBM, Electro, Synthpunk and Industrial, smoothly blending with Wave, Obscure Italo and Belgian New Beat. Bio:
Glasgow based @kenny_campbell has gained a reputation for delivering hard hitting sets whether they are techno, industrial, EBM or old skool hardcore.  He’s as comfortable playing at 100 bpm as he is 300 bpm.

In recent years he’s been a regular at Drøne in Manchester as well as playing all over the UK, Europe and as far afield as Sri Lanka, with frequent appearances in Germany, France and Netherlands.  In his travels he’s played alongside such diverse names as Nitzer Ebb, KRTM, Laurent Ho, Philipp Strobel, Black Kolor, Crystal Geometry, The Horrorist, Easygroove, Autumns, D.Carbone, The Mover and many more.

Running the label Pitch Dark Records, initially with Alex Mullen and now on his own has seen the label go from strength to strength, with releases being supported by many A list names.

As a producer he achieved his life long dream of releasing on Industrial Strength Records.  With other notable releases and remixes on Drøne, Eradys, RIOT Radio Records, SHISHI, Revok, OSM Tapes, Nu Body and Tjalk records.  His long term collaboration with Huck Farper as Bone Skippers has featured on Monolith Records, Green Fetish Records and Wunderblock with his now prolific collaboration with Duelist has seen releases on Scuderia, Black Verb, Dissonanze, Clan Destine Records and Instruments of Discipline.

His love of 90s hardcore has been a focus and along with Technotrance they have relaunched Judgement Day Records and collaborated on Malevolent Forces, with the aim of bringing the sound of 90s hardcore to a new generation of ravers and old heads alike.
