children, evacuating them for specialized treatment, and supporting those in need
with essential meals on the ground. In a time of crisis, music is not neutral, techno
is not neutral. It is political. This release is our statement for unity, solidarity and

German-born and Vienna-based DJ, producer and label-head Egotot is recognised for his fast and impulsive sound. Heavily inspired by the classic sounds of the 90s, his upbeat grooves are able to captivate dance-floors with their timeless appeal. Egotot has been making waves on an international scale, having played in cities such as New York, Berlin and Poland at venues such as Basement, Tresor and Crackhouse. 

Egotot’s project, Schimmer Records focusses on cutting-edge sounds across the electronic spectrum, featuring releases in the Techno, Electronica, House and Ambient genre. His mixes are driving and eclectic and he’s even capable of seamlessly layering tracks using up to six decks. This podcast is packed with texturised rhythms and cosmic sounds, expertly layered to keep you grooving non-stop.

This journey leads us to the Tarab invites Schimmer Afterparty, which took the audience from Techno in the morning to House in the afternoon. What a pleasure to take over at 11am with a packed club, a tireless crowd creating such a vibe with their energy and love .

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what Egotot, the founder of the infamous @schimmerrecords, is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. This also reflects in this live recording from the Rennbahn event at Halle02 on the 28th of February 2025.

In his own words: 
"This set was recorded during the opening of the Rennbahn event, where I am a resident, in Heidelberg. Starting slow with ambient and deep beats, this set opens the evening for @decka-music as headliner. Browsing through the folders on the stick, I discovered some old collabo tracks with Elias(de) and @franzjager, perfect for a solid start to the night, mixed with some new additions, including ADMINISTRATOR’s next appearance on Schimmer Records' two sub-labels: Groovebox and Liquid One.

It’s always important for me to strike the right note at openings. Taking everyone on a journey, respecting the time and the amount of people in front of me. It’s a challenge because this slot is not the comfort zone for myself, but the most exciting part when it’s successful."

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. A vision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy.

Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor. However, his sense for music doesn’t stop at the edge of dancefloor-oriented Rave. It goes far beyond, right to and through the sometimes more and sometimes less subtle tides of electronic music.

This exemplarily reflects in his very own imprint, Schimmer Records, which he founded in 2019. The label has, in a rather short period of time, already evolved to a sonic reservoir of all different shades, all of which share a commonality – quality in production, love to detail, and an undeniable appeal to avid devotees of electronic music of all kinds. 

There is nothing confusing about Egotot’s take on music. It is clean-cut, it is straightforward, it is always effective. The Industrial clout, the fast groove, the merciless rigor – this is how Techno should sound in the 21st century, and Egotot is its perfect avatar.
