Es bleibt leider kaum Zeit sich umzusehen. Lighter beginnt als zuständiger Nachtmanager sofort mit der Einweisung. Ich werde meinen Abend am Einlass beginnen. Danach als Springer für Getränkenachschub an den Bars sorgen und letztendlich soll ich meine Runden als Botschafter der Musik auf der Tanzfläche drehen und mich um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste kümmern. Hört sich nach einem stabilen Abend an. 
Bevor die erste Schicht beginnt, kann ich Lighter noch kurz abfangen und eine Frage in eigener Sache stellen. Bei der Einteilung der Schichten, ist mir aufgefallen, dass sich niemand um den Backstage Bereich kümmert. Zudem habe ich auch noch nicht herausfinden können, wo sich dieser befindet. Ich wollte wissen, ob ich Zugang zu dem Bereich haben werde und ob ich eventuell den „Raverend“ kennenlernen könnte. Seine Antwort war leider wenig erfreulich „Ist leider Chefsache und damit meine ich nicht mich. Um den Artist kümmert sich immer einer der ComRa Chefs persönlich. Selbst ich habe keinen Zugang zum Backstage Bereich. Auch zur Bühne habe ich keinen Zutritt. Unter uns, den „Raverend“ kenne ich auch nur als Gestalt hinter dem Dj-Pult.“
Ich versuche mir durch den kleinen Rückschlag die gute Laune nicht verderben zu lassen und gehe zum Einlass. Dort angekommen, kann ich über einen Monitor die Schlange vor dem Eingang sehen. Es warten bereits hunderte Menschen darauf in den Techno Tempel gelassen zu werden. An diesen Abend verläuft alles unkompliziert. Innerhalb einer Stunde haben wir alle Feierwilligen in die Kathedrale geschleust. Die Kapseln an den Handgelenken der Raver haben alle perfekt funktioniert. Am Bildschirm konnte ich dank den in der Kapsel gespeicherten Daten verfolgen, wer an diesem Abend die große Party besucht. Dabei habe ich mir das Gesicht und den Namen einiger Gäste gemerkt, welche ich später gezielt ansprechen möchte. Diese waren schon lange nicht mehr bei ComRa Veranstaltungen und ich möchte die Gründe dafür herausfinden. Beim Durchgehen der Daten fällt mir auf, dass es eine Möglichkeit gibt sich sogar noch mehr Details anzeigen zu lassen. Leider kann ich auf diese nicht zugreifen, da sie Passwort geschützt sind. Welche Informationen wohl noch über die Gäste gesammelt werden?  

Die heutige deep story kommt von Milo Häfliger. Der Schweizer ist bekannt für sein feines Gespür im Bereich deep house. Ob es eigene Produktionen sind oder seine DJ-Sets, alles ist perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt und mit Liebe zum Detail erstellt. Mit seinem Set lädt er dazu ein, sich wieder mit seinem wahren Selbst zu verbinden und tief im Inneren nach vergrabenen oder manchmal vergessenen Gefühlen zu suchen. So beginnt eine schöne Geschichte im Herzen unseres Unterbewusstseins, untermalt von erlesenen Klängen.

deep story nr. 161 | in the heart of our unconsciousness | by Milo Häfliger

Hello Flow'ers. My initial idea with this mix was to prepare a studio mix and plan it out to bits and be a tightly curated journey and experience. Turns out I am a lousy planner, always lack time, and am much less in flow when I let my perfectionism take the lead. If this pandemic has shown me anything, it has been to embrace change and trust in the magic of being in flow. These themes have led me to the magical land of Mexico. I was blessed with a few rare opportunities to share my music and experience a flow state I had missed for many months during the pandemic.

This mix combines two live recordings of two hidden slices of paradise hidden in the Tulum jungle. Two spots where both mother nature and a solid group of beautiful, happy, loving humans of all corners of the world got the best out of me. This is me in flow. Enjoy @undersmusic

Mezcal Amores was so much more than just a gig for @caleesi and me. It was a really special experience that took place in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico in the ruins of an old building, amongst candles and flower blossoms and amazing people who really understood our music. We couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere and are so lucky to have been able to play our sound in such a perfect environment. Thank you so much to Deborah, Marie-Lison, Marty, Carla, Mira and Santiago for everything. We’re so grateful to have been part of this unique experience!

An Old City

Umschmiegt vom Atlantik und beglückt von der Sonne. Gezeichnet vom Meer und umgarnt von einer frischen Brise. Die Häuser drängen sich dicht an dicht, schildernd strahlen sie in allen Farben des Regenbogens. Durch die verwinkelten Gassen schlängelt sich die Straßenbahn, während die gelben Busse waghalsig ihren Weg kreuzen. Jeder Meter ist dicht befahren und es wimmelt nur so von fröhlichen Leuten.
Das steinerne Aquädukt ist dein stetiger Begleiter und der Cristo Rei dein Morgenstern. Überall verschmelzen die monumentalen Kathedralen und Kirchen mit dem blauen Himmel. Aus den grasgrünen Parks weht dir der rauchige Maronenduft in die Nase. Trauben so groß wie Pflaumen und die Orangen direkt vom Baum. Frischer Fisch wird gegrillt auf dem Balkon und in den Restaurants gibt es für wenig Geld eine sättigende Portion.
Wenn die Sonnenstrahlen weichen und der Tag entschwindet, glänzt die ganze Stadt in einem Lichtermeer. Musik und Gelächter steigen in den dunklen Himmel empor. Auch wenn die Turmuhr dann zur Geisterstunde schlägt, denkt niemand an den Schlaf. All die Menschen sind unterwegs. Jedermann redet, lacht und lebt. In dieser alten Stadt, in der wohl nur die Zeit auf immer steht.
Dieser Podcast ist treibend wie das Leben in einer sommerlichen Stadt. Beinhaltet natürlich gewachsene Höhen und Tiefen so wie das Leben selbst. Old City erzählt uns heute eine Geschichte aus ihrem persönlichen Utopia. An diesem Ort ist alles möglich. Einzige Restriktion sind die Grenzen deiner Vorstellungskraft. Die Nummer 136 kommt einem 73 minütigen Ausflug ins blaue gleich.
