Ahead of our Seladoria launch night at E1 Club in London on September 24th, we'd like to share with you a mix from 3 years ago, back when one of our special guests for the forthcoming party, the inimitable Danny Howells, last played at the venue, an all night set for Bedrock. 

Only a true craftsman can master such a challenge - and the two hour section we highlight here from the middle of the journey shows Danny at the height of his powers. 

A driving, percussive ride, Danny rides the rhythm, blending styles & moods with apparent ease. Hypnotic meets tribal then ventures into acid, funky techno, deep vibes and more - with perfectly timed vocal interventions, an unexpected piano drop that will make you swoon, and so much more.

“This was my first gig after quite a long break so I’d been stockpiling my favourite tunes from the last few months, and there were so many that I was desperate to try out, things like the Crackazat tracks, Radio Slave, Santos, Maps and so on. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking playing again after having time off (for me anyway), and Buenos Aires is always such an important and special place to me, but once in that room with that amazing crowd, I immediately felt like I hadn’t been away. I have to credit Anhauser for the way they opened the room, leaving me space to start my set as deep as I wanted – it’s such an important role and they set the mood perfectly. It was a five-hour set but honestly, I wish it could have carried on, I was having such an incredible time. And I can’t wait to return.”

The album is another magical piece of work that focuses on melody and rhythm, on fat bass and vivid sound design and is a truly captivating journey through the mind, music, body and soul of one of dance music’s truly modern greats. After its release, a great team of modern music makers was enlisted to remix tracks from it: Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan-Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more all contributed to what is an essential collection. With a remix of ‘Sleepless’, a Pan-Pot track from their latest album, Stephan Bodzin closed the latest chapter of 2015 in what has been an exhilarating musical journey in his capable and creative hands.
