Trans-galactic vocalist Charlie Boy Manson touches down on planet earth once again to enlist his 7th dimension squadron to remix/translate his original transmission. We at Footwork Jungle have decided to premiere Brain Rays’s remix… a wild spaceman trap maneuver. 

I love how the tune builds itself up gradually, layering weird glitches and static fuzz over that hi lead / low mid pad catchy riff. 808s rumble and fumble up and down, rattling your chest then re-arranging your organs. Lush starchy claps, metallic hats and rampant snare rolls keep ya feet grooving and ya head nodding.
Just when you’ve been lulled into a false sense of security the beat flips… scratchy distortion on the vocals, wild risers and a big verbed out space klaxon switching your emotions upside the place.

Steve Canfield is a musician, composer, and sound designer originally from San Diego, California. Since a young age, his biggest inspiration as an artist has always been the music and sound of film. Steve's first full-length album, “Floating Stones”, took about 2.5 years to complete while living and traveling around various cities across Europe and North America.
