There are few musicians who manage to explore the convergence between techno and experimental as successfully as David Letellier. Known as @kangding-ray, he has been producing for almost a decade, releasing his music exclusively on Raster-Noton and Stroboscopic Artefacts. The aesthetic domains of these two labels epitomizes Kangding Ray’s complex sound—it’s an aesthetic that tests boundaries, evolving tirelessly in its exploration of texture, rhythm, and sound design. Letellier’s foundations in rock and musique concrete give his music a vitality and uniqueness that has won fans the world over, from discerning avant-garde–electronica listeners, all the way to devoted clubbers.

This set is a partial recording of a DJ set KR made last year in a club. Kangding Ray has long been a favorite at The Bunker and we're looking forward to having him join us at The Bunker at Good Room here in Brooklyn on April 28, 2018. Ethan Fawkes new EP "Let's Go James" take his title from rave hits from L.A. Style "James Brown Is Dead" and Holy Noise "James Brown Is Still Alive".  This release turns it into an early 90's sounds, with a big touch of actual techno.

For this EP we have the pleasure to have as one of the remixers, rave legend from UK Mark Archer, who made a fantastic work in the spirit of his band Altern 8.  
French techno rave duo Minimum Syndicat deliver a strong more acid version, with still oldchool rave stab, and a third remix by the powerfull Dutch producer Drvg Cvltvre worked with great rave drums with a lot of energy.
