Tehran, Iran native Khashaya Pouryamin, also know as “Fedor K’ has been surrounded by music since the young age of 12. He started off first with playing the guitar and by 17, he began playing in several underground rock bands where he perfected his skill with the bass guitar as his main instrument. Over the years, Fedor continued to play the piano and even began writing his own music and songs . Shortly after, he was introduced to the sounds of electronic music. After 2 years of being fully immersed in the genre he was rapidly growing to love, he produced remixes and original songs that were supported by some of the top artists around the world including Maceo Plex and Loco Dice. By 2012, Fedor began releasing music on several different labels from several different countries and received very high praise from fans around the world. 
As of 2014, Fedor K continues to release his talented sound with his newest EP on its way and has now become the latest resident for Vancouver, Canada’s up and coming music label / events company, You Plus One. His obvious talent for music and productions promises a very exciting break through into the North American music scene and You Plus One is very proud to call him one of our own.

STO returns with ‘Kick vs. Clap 2’, the next chapter in the series. This one goes deeper, darker and more techno-focused than the first.

Where the original leaned minimal, part 2 brings more pressure. The kick and clap still drive the rhythm, but the groove feels tighter and more insistent. There’s more weight in the low-end, more forward motion in the way the drums hit.

A melodic line simmers beneath the surface. It’s not dominant, but it shapes the atmosphere and pulls the track into a more hypnotic space. It builds slowly, never breaking the tension, just keeping things moving.

The sound design is raw and textured. Analogue grit, subtle saturation, and space between the elements give it a lived-in feel. It’s built for dark clubs, where detail matters and the groove does the work.

‘Kick vs. Clap 2’ is a functional tool but with a real purpose. DJs will find room for it across the night – whether you’re warming things up, shifting gears or keeping a room locked at 4am.

STO stays true to the core idea: less is more when every sound has weight. The result is a track that feels focused, physical and alive.
