High praise indeed from an artist who knows all about making an impact. It was Dimitri's remix of Avery's 'Water Jump' that announced his talent to the world. Produced without the original parts, Veimar constructed a rework that immediately won the heart of its original creator.

His sinister and often sleazy-edged electronica is a unique and refreshing musical tangent. His recent release for UK label Deep Shit saw the likes of Jamie Jones, Danny Daze, Jennifer Cardini and Zdar join his ever expanding battalion or supporters and today he makes his debut on Darkroom Dubs with 'Space Glue'.

Both original's from Dimitri are celestial affairs with his trademark darker touches. The angelic lead melody of the title track is constantly driven by the creeping and bubbling synths that surround, whilst 'Slave' is a stalking acid workout with a gallic smooch of a vocal and devastating groove.

Repaying the favour of his mix on Gomma, Justin Robertson delivers a storming Deadstock 33's rework of Space Glue and French producer Remain presents a beautifully hazy trip with his vision of Slave.

Jan Blomqvist is a Berlin-based live electronic artist, whose signature melancholic vocals, introspective melodies and lush beats are celebrated throughout the international dance music scene. With his band he performs dance-oriented electronic pop; as a solo artist, vocal techno.

As a child Jan was always singing. His open-minded parents immediately saw and encouraged his natural talent by exposing him to a variety of music and by giving him his first guitar. Fortunately or unfortunately he was not allowed to join the school band, so instead he formed his own band in a caravan in the woods. There they were free to play whatever music they wanted, which at that time was mostly melodic grunge and punk rock. While the band had moderate success it seemed unrealistic that it would become a career option at that point so after high school Jan, who was always keenly interested in the sciences, began studying aerospace engineering. Then, at the age of 21, he saw his first techno DJ and realized an alternative path in which music could in fact be a profession for him.

Jan continued making music, sharing his nights between producing and working at Berlin’s Week-End club where he earned enough behind the bar for even the odd educational trip to a Radiohead concert or sunday picnic at Bar 25. Through these inspiring experiences he began to form a new goal for himself as a musician, to bring a concert atmosphere to the dancefloor through strong vocals, detailed minimal beats and minor key melodies that are actually somehow uplifting. And more generally, to break up the monotony in the techno nightlife by injecting some pop and rock sensibilities back into the club scene.

In 2011 he got his first big break, a prime time slot at the fusion festival in front of 3000 people right before a big rainstorm. Then after 2 popular releases on Dantze and Stil vor Talent Records he got his next lucky punch, a beautiful video of a flawless live concert performance on the rooftop of Week-End club, which immediately went viral on YouTube and now has almost 2 million hits. This seamlessly flowed into what is now over 250 gigs in three years in places like Moscow, Paris, Istanbul, New York, Rome, Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam, Milan, Athens, Budapest, Beirut, Tunis, Naples, Bucharest, Warsaw, Zurich, Marseilles, Montpellier, Thessaloniki, Munich, Vienna, London, and Dubai.

But in the background of all this and his numerous other collaborative releases Jan has been steadily working on his debut album, taking all the time he needs to get everything perfect. And its getting close now. Sonically it stays true to the big club sound and dark melodies that he is known for.

“It’s that imperfect sound that makes us,” Jan explains. “Emotional, honest, authentic, detailed, big-bassed, sometimes atonal, but mostly just indifferent to the rules. Because, more often than not, it is that wry-ish note that give you goosebumps.”

The name Jay Hill (aka Lady Jay) has recently been equated to as New York City’s next Techno/Deep House/Minimal producer/DJ of Ida Engberg and at the same time the girl next door sweetness of American country star, Faith Hill. All comparisons aside, ask anyone in New York City and they will know who Jay Hill is.

Originally from the West Coast as a former Trip-Hop spoken word vocalist & singer/songwriter landed in New York City in 2012, in just three years Jay has already shared the stage with some of the most talented and distinguished artists in the industry such as: Infected Mushroom, Shonky, Dan Ghenacia, Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Franck Roger, Butch, Paul Ritch, And Him, Max Cooper, Nadja Lind, Okain, and Michel de Hey to name a few.

As a result of her hard work on the dance floor and in the studio, she is a regular mainstay in some of the worlds most renowned clubs such as Cielo, Output/Panther Room, Verboten, Le Bain, and Best Buy Theatre and several more.

Catching wind outside of NY walls Jay has played for the Noting Hill Carnival in London and summer of 2014 she appeared in Ibiza, Barcelona (off Sonar festival party) and Athens, Greece.

In 2015 her fervent background work in the studio has been paying off with stellar releases/remixes on globally recognized labels such as IRecords (Kevin Yost), Kid Recordings and 3Bridge Records. Slomo was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2003, he started his dj career in the local Hip Hop & Trip Hop underground scene, spinning only vinyl. His musical influences range from Madlib, Wu tang Clan, J.Dilla to Hector Lavoe, Michael Jackson, Massive Attack, Dj Shadow, Dj Marky, Ninja Tune Records, Stones Throw Records.

In 2005 he teams up with Venezuelan producer Andres Manzanilla Aka Sanabria to lead the production of an album for the Samsung World Cyber Games. They also played at various dj gigs and live hip-hop acts with local M.C.’s and bands.

After touring and playing the local scene for 3 years, sharing the stage with artists such as Dj Dara, Dj Craze, Dieselboy, Mad Professor, Adam F, Dj Vadim, Alfredo Naranjo among others, Slomo moved to Miami to pursue his Audio Engineer career at the SAE Institute. After completing the program he decided to tour city's local scene playing his downtempo, afro bass fusions sounds to venues such as Jazzid, Love & Hate, Trade, Tobacco Road, and The Stage.

He is currently working on different projects. Slomo is one of the head music curators at El Flying Monkey records, an independent record label that was founded in Venezuela in 2009.

Ablekid aka Daniel Moore is a veteran DJ/producer from the famous Orlando underground now living inAustin, TX. Host : “Pineal Sessions with Ablekid” on Dna Radio Fm.
