Making a long-awaited debut on Dear Deer is the DJ, Producer, and Activist Javier Portilla with the ‘Total Liberation EP’. Remix support is from label favorite Rafael Cerato and a label debutant Novakk.

Barcelona-based producer and label manager at Moonchild Records, Javier Portilla is signed to a number of high-performing labels such as Natura Sonoris, Asymmetric, Armada Music, and Perspectives Digital, plus his own label Moonchild with boasts plays and support from all the big names.

An important and personal EP to Javier, they speak of self-awareness, humanity, and justice - something culturally significant to many of us over the last few difficult years. Opening with dirty low-end fury, ‘Total Liberation’ is a slow burn track for those hypnotic late sets when you’ve found your space on the floor and are ready to groove for hours. ‘Come Closer’ takes a tough tribal groove and adds melodic dirt from the off. Hypnotic and inviting, the main motifs veer off on tangents as if possessed before a mutated voice and spiky bass shock us into a reality allowing the sonics to power up for the main break.

We're super happy and proud to premiere a track by two Dutch producers that we admire a lot. The original comes from Franc Fala, who actually did his first ever guest mix for us a while back. We've been big fans of his unique sound and he's definitely one to keep an eye out for. The track is called 'I'm At Your Feet' and the remix comes from Mitch de Klein, a producer that had some big releases already. The combination of the two resulted in this excellent track that is out next Friday on one of our favorite labels; Sequence Music!

On remix duties we welcome back our talented protege Temperat. The Italians style is unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion as the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

Next up we have Shanghai based artist Final Request who has been coming through the ranks at lightening speed, certainly needs no introduction. If you have been to see Fideles recently you wou ld have heard this during their sets and we're really looking forward to hearing this edit on many more dance-floors around the World.
