A true driving force of the Stil vor Talent fold since the landing of his debut EP "Nandoo" in 2018, Sam Shure has cemented his position as one of today's finest names when it comes to shape shifting , polyamorous soundscapes. Using his background in traditional music to take club music into unheard directions, Sam keeps carving out a lane of his own, and his newest four-track delivery for Stil vor Talent - "Malfunction" - proves a new tour de force in his quest for time and space-transcending material.

Merging middle-eastern melodic tropes with the most cutting-edge arsenal of circuit-driven chatter, the title-track pulls out an infectious metronomic swagger adorned with EBM-friendly cascades of shimmering bleeps and raging drums that keep on swelling as bars fly by. Doped on fly, chiselled breaks and a fractalised sound design rife with fractured vocal samples, "Permutation" flings us in a furnace of flash-flowing, mangled synth ellipses and bone-bruising bass moves that'll have you hard-pressed to find your way back to the surface. 

Not one to crank it down one inch for real, "Attenuator" does the very opposite of its name, except perhaps for its more understated, deep-end-friendly approach. Going the dubbier way, this one finds Shure boasting the width of his skills and ever-sharp knack for cutting riveting slabs of pared-down psychedelia. Topping it off, "Sopra il Mondo (featuring Francesca Siano)" is a straightforward roller tinged with Shure's broad palette of jazzy inflections, Latin neo-classicism and oriental harmonics. A correspondingly ambitious and inspired closer to a new master stroke from an artist in full possession of his art.

PREMIERE: Sam Shure - Permutation (Original Mix) [Stil Vor Talent]

While Stephan Bodzin's Beatport No.1 album 'Boavista' still reverberates around the world, the techno mainstay has now collected 25 of the scene's most interesting artists to add their own remixes. The likes of Solomun, Dubfire, Mind Against, Roman Flugel, Agents of Time, Anna, Wehbba, Hernan Cataneo & Soundexile and many more all make this a richly diverse affair.

This is a collection packed with gems from the off: Diynamic label boss Solomun opens up with his lively melodic take on Rose featuring cosmic synths and neon pads, his label mates Adriatique then go deep with their take on River and Italian duo Mind Against layer up the astral synths to epic effect with their Earth remix.

Jupiter Jazz aka Maceo Plex & AVNU then link for a remix of Theory Of Everything that is filled with swirling synth colours and German maestro Roman Flugel flips Earth into a cinematic track with pensive pads and digitalised leads. There is also classy progressive house from Patrice Baumel, widescreen techno from ANNA and hard, acid tinged techno from Reinier Zonneveld as well as suppler rolling rhythms from Dubfire with many other standout remixes in between.

Boavista Remixes is an essential album packed with plenty of fresh perspectives from across the house and techno spectrum.

With early support from Innellea, Joris Voorn, Kevin de Vries, Brina Knauss, Nick Devon, Lauren Mia, the Element, Jonas Saalbach, Miss Melera and Olivier Weiter, ‘Mind Escape’ is an energetic track that is perfect for peak time sets. The melancholic chords, combined with the heavy and staccato bassline, juxtapose well with the retro synths.

'Philosophy of Time' is the contrasting second track of this EP, with a constant duality between the lower and higher frequencies. Longing for space, this track is best played in the early hours.

Mind Against finally join the revered ‘fabric presents’ mix series, compilation out Friday 23rd September ahead of their extended set in the much-loved venue. On Saturday 24th September. 

The mix closes with their own ’Freedom’ with Dyzen. The track opens and continues a dialogue between the dreamy languor of emotion-rich synth chords evoking early noughties euphoria, and dog-whistle-pitched melodic phrases leaping and playing, over a strong but subtle multi-layered percussion, all pinned by a beat of silence in the midst. A soundtrack for blissed-out summer nights.

„TRANSHUMANISM“ is more than the track being released today as final part of my three part project. It’s maybe the beginning of the end of the world we know. The self-technicalization of Homo Faber is already in process and leads to the merging of the digital and the physical worlds in all aspects of life. Will this process lead to a world where reality is relative? To emphasize this current development, Alexander Trattler and I have created a project that captures the state of this on-going process in the art world, by releasing an extra special EP and NFT package. The three-part EP will be drip-released over the course of the next six weeks, while the NFT drop will offer lifelong guestlist access to any Innellea show in the world plus a T-Shirt and a waist bag  from my clothing line “INN”.
