October of last year saw the much anticipated release of the mighty VERSUS project from John Digweed & Nick Muir. The three CD album was a huge undertaking and as part of the package the Bedrock duo teamed up with a number of artists to create twelve exclusive new tracks. All label regulars, the likes of Pig&Dan, Carlo Lio, Henry Saiz and Marco Bailey joined the John and Nick in creating yet more iconic tracks for the label. The originals have lit up dance floors world wide since their release.

Having already brought you the excellent Extended Play rework of Morphism, we return with our next unique version. Taking on the beautiful and beatless Gigawave is Canadian artist Fairmont who gives the breathtaking original a new club-friendly face. His warm, subtle and yet persuasive bassline provides the perfect bed as he transforms the originals ambient textures, delivering an uplifting dancefloor revision.

Otherwise Records presents “Stop That Record, And Rewind That!”, the latest EP by DJ, producer, and label manager Fran Bortolossi. Featuring 3 original tracks — “Stop That Record,And Rewind That!”, “Music All Night Long” and “Don’t Do It” — the release navigates the intersection of Indie Dance and Nu Disco, where arrangement choices push the tension between memory and motion, the dancefloor and immersive listening.

The title track builds around vocal cuts that operate like rhythmic triggers, layered over modulated basslines and spacious percussion in a structure that nods to the past without falling into nostalgia. “Music All Night Long” leans into a looser, more fluid framework, led by textures reminiscent of early Daft Punk — channeling club hedonism with restraint. Closing the EP, “Don’t Do It” takes a more direct route, fusing groove and harmonic fragments, anchored by a filtered vocal that emerges with a confessional tone.

With this release, Fran Bortolossi continues to refine his sonic language — one rooted in deliberate timbral choices and structures that emphasize internal movement. Stop That Record, And Rewind That! sits within the Otherwise catalog as a contemporary reading of the dialogue between form and function, expanding the ways sound can inhabit space with clarity and control.

Across three original cuts and two striking remixes, the EP reveals Shigin’s unmistakable vision—dark yet groovy, minimal yet full of tension. The title track, Dancing on Bones, sets the tone with hypnotic rhythms and gritty textures, while Deamo and Red expand the journey with intricate grooves and cinematic atmospheres.

Two remixes bring new life to the title track: Motip White reshapes it into a sharp, futuristic trip, while Blackloud dives into heavier, shadowy territory—both offering fresh dimensions to Shigin’s raw material.

With a sound that balances edge and elegance, Dancing On Bones EP confirms Shigin as a rising force on the international circuit. This is a record built for late-night floors, where intensity and emotion collide.

Narratives proudly launches its record label journey with a statement debut: Blow My Mind EP, a collaborative two-track offering by label co-founders Mustafa Ismaeel and Dilby. Based between Toronto, Riyadh, and Berlin, Narratives is a creative collective where sound, art, and storytelling collide. After four years of building a global community through mixes, events, and showcases, the vision comes to life in this release, blending diverse influences into a unified deep house sound. Blow My Mind EP encapsulates what Narratives stands for – groovy rhythms, emotive storytelling, and cross-continental artistry.

The opening track Part Time Lover is a groovy, energetic cut with a rolling bassline and punchy groove that lay the foundation, while a blues-influenced lead and a memorable vocal hook give the track an anthemic, sing-along quality.
