Tokyo Fan Club – the exciting new collaboration from acclaimed producers Luke Brancaccio, Gai Barone, and vocalist Kiki Cave – announce their debut album ‘We Live Electric’, released on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records on 18 November.  

 
As a delicious first taster of what people can expect from the album, a remix of ‘Horses’ from renowned Greek producer Echonomist will be released on 11 November. 

 
With his pulsating and atmospheric remix of ‘Horses’, Echnomist displays why he has become such an in-demand producer and remixer. The dark and hypnotic ‘80s electro soundscape is the perfect soundtrack for after-parties, showcasing Kiki Cave’s stunning vocal and is certain to get a big reaction when played out. 

 
Tokyo Fan Club’s forthcoming debut album, ‘We Live Electric’ will be presented in two parts. Part 1 is an electronica laden album of 80’s / 90’s soundtrack inspired synths and vocals whilst Part 2 is a more more stripped back soundscape and ambient version of the album which will highlight the other side to Tokyo Fan Club’s sound.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

Hot on the heels of the monster release of “Mutter” on Gerd Janson’s Running Back, Konstantin Sibold has delivered an acid remix for the Danish experimental pop band WhoMadeWho.

The original song, an infectious 3-minute pop ballad has been mutated and stretched out into a pulsating acid track, aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Tomas Høffding’s vocals sit proudly over a thumping kick drum and result in 7 minutes of potent, almost ominous club music that sits resolutely at the low end of the pH scale.

Reboot: ​“​Being asked to lay hands on one track of the last Monkey Safari album was a big pleasure for me, as I have been a fan of their work for a while. Even though it was rather challenging, as the original is a perfectly produced floorkiller. So I tried to bring the track into a more dirty direction with a long breakdown, but without leaving the original`s idea too much. I hope people enjoy the results.”

Tensnake:​ ​“I had a blast remixing ‘Odyssey’. The vocals inspired me to remix it with a bit of 90’s industrial vibe.”

ROD​: ​“Thanks to the great original parts, both my remixes flowed out of my system quite naturally. i was happy to do 2 complete different remixes. where ‘prologue' is more about peak-time techno-energy, with 'sign' i tried to create a much more psychedelic underwater-ish vibe which i think worked out quite well with that soothing vocal."

Cologne’s Tim Engelhardt delivers his debut EP for Watergate.

We got our first taste of Tim Engelhardt’s prodigious talent when ‘Under Armour’ featured on WhoMadeWho’s acclaimed Watergate 26 compilation earlier this year. The track was a masterstroke of tension-filled chords and crisp drums that put him squarely on the radar of the WG faithful. 

His first EP for the label ‘Rhy’, captures the essence of Watergate’s famous Waterfloor at dawn. The title track is drenched in sheaths of warm melodies, as velvety vocal undertones and sweeping strings welcome the morning light. ‘When The Sun Illuminated Her Eyes’, is the more driving accompaniment, as textured synths and delicate keys shine a light on Engelhardt’s accomplished skill as a pianist.

Luke Brancaccio is a DJ and producer of global experience and escalating renown. His musical evolution has lead him from frontman of the British band “Suicide Sports Club” and the chart-topping production partnership of Brancaccio & Aisher to headlining international events and featuring on the cover of DJ Magazine.

A perennial of Bedrock, with whom he has had more releases than any other artist, he has also signed with Circus, Selador and Crosstown Rebels, and his cutting-edge tracks have swept the charts, generating several number ones.
