French DJ and producer Nicolas Masseyeff unveils a new chapter in his artistic journey with the ‘Taian’ EP, released via his own Diversions Music imprint on November 28. The EP features original cuts, ‘Taian’ and ‘Harunohi’, each of which explores an organic and timeless approach, where warm textures and melodic layers intertwine with a subtle Detroit-inspired spirit. While ‘Taian’ unfolds as a deep and immersive journey, ‘Harunohi’ takes a more dancefloor-oriented approach, driven by its groove and radiant energy. Hailing from the French Riviera, Nicolas Masseyeff has built a storied career defined by musical versatility and emotional depth. His eclectic back catalog includes releases on Crosstown Rebels, Herzblut Recordings, and his own Diversions Music, as well as collaborations with renowned artists like Kittin, OXIA, and Parallelle. Emerging once again from the shadowy corners of the underground, Bass Therapy marks another timeless contribution from Resonant Robot, an early resident of the elusive Modern Nostalgia imprint. Since the label's inception, Resonant Robot has been a cornerstone of its sound, a fusion of deep house tradition and forward-thinking minimalism that resists both trends and timestamps.

Across four cuts, 'Talk To Me,' 'Bass Therapy,' 'Let The Funk Go,' and 'This Is For The Crew,' the EP channels the warm, hypnotic pulse of classic deep house while maintaining a restrained, modern sensibility. It's music that feels as much at home in the early-morning haze of a basement session as it does in a dimly lit after-hours loft. The grooves roll deep and subtle, driven by liquid basslines, crisp percussion, and that unmistakable sense of space and emotion that defines the Modern Nostalgia aesthetic.

Echoes of Terry Lee Brown Jr. run throughout, refined, groove-centered, and deeply atmospheric, but there are also shades of The Timewriter, Dub Taylor, Shur-I-Kan, and Jimpster in the EP's DNA. Like those artists, Resonant Robot crafts tracks that sit between movement and meditation: tactile, soulful, and endlessly playable.

With Bass Therapy, Modern Nostalgia once again reaffirms its reputation as a sanctuary for the underground electronic music purist, a label where subtlety speaks volumes and resonance truly matters.

The influential AudioHell label looks to exciting UK talent Patch for its next EP. Featuring two fresh tracks with one remix from the boss himself, it is a well formed package of deep club music for the more discerning dancefloors.

Patch, a newly emerging producer who has worked in the music industry for some time here showcases his love of hypnotic sounds. As a versatile talent in both the DJ booth and the studio, it's no wonder this London-based northerner has played all over the UK in the last 18 months, and his burgeoning reputation is steadily rising. 

‘Grube’ opens things up with impressive style. Marrying meditative and euphoric moods with rubbery drums on the baseline and rolling synth melodies. “There must be a scientific explanation for spirituality”  - the contemplative vocal muses before the track implodes. It is a late night, zoned out track that speaks to the soul.

The Italian label boss AudioHell flips the cut into a more stripped back house cut with bouncy kicks, prickly percussion and the burrowing synth from the original all ensuring you get lost in the groove. 

Patch’s ‘Silhouette’ is a more colourful, deep-techno roller that is rippled with melodies and synths. Big hi-hat ringlets and doom laden bass strokes all add drama whilst the whole thing manages to be subtle and emotive.
