Episode 1 - Edinburgh’s Rave Roots

The series begins with a trip back in time, revisiting the
origins of Edinburgh’s club culture with Pure’s JD Twitch and interviews with promoters who were raised on the Edinburgh’s original club sound - Wasabi Disco’s Kris Walker, and She Bang Rave Unit’s Kirstie Paton.

consider the collaborations and cross-sections of the city’s scenes,
looking into where Edinburgh’s creatives have shaped the dancefloor with Rhythm Machine’s DJ Yves, and Colvin Cruikshank - manager of the Wee Red Bar and multi-hyphenate musician.

Sneaky Pete’s, and a new generation of music that credits the venue as key. In this episode Rowan speaks to Nick Stewart, the director of Sneaky Pete’s, and EHFM’s Feena McKinnell.
