Disco Despair get set to release a second EP on Youth Control following the hugely successful ”I’m No Good” which took over Hype Machine’s Top 20 as well as infecting crowds around the world, by DJs such as Arches, Cassian, Morcheeba and was included on Toolroom Records compilation. Helsinki based Disco Despair present a 3 track ep ”You Are Girl” featuring Jeremey David and the renowned Swedish singer / songwriter Therese, who previously worked with Stonebridge among many others. 

The title track ”You Are Girl” is a masterful blend of nu-disco topped with vocal work by Jeremey David that brings together soulful, contemporary funk elements. The EP continues with the second track “I Guess You Know”, a more straight forward pop disco piece reminiscent of a joint venture that could’ve been between millennium era French house and Kylie - now brought alive by the astonishing and courageous collaboration between Disco Despair and Therese. Finally, the EP is closed with an instrumental piece “Our Time Has Come” a track drawing its inspiration from the impending dystopia, giving the otherwise uplifting record a clear statement that it has come to a bitter, unavoidable end… depressing moi? Never.
