Finally It's done.
2 years of combing my previous music knowledge and what I've been learning in the past 2 years pays off.
This is my debut album.7 carefully composed pieces and 2 of my earlier releases "The Poem in your Eyes" and "The Ballerina" which the latter became a hit in my hometown, joined together to form "City Lights".
I want to thank all of you for your wonderful support in the past 3 years from the depth of my heart.

Last week I was asked to compose piano-only soundtrack for a Drama play called "Pacific Ocean" about the immigration of an Iranian couple to Turkey and its tragic outcome for the main characters.
Special thanks to my friend Elham Shadkam and the director Zahra Bakhshpoor for trusting me and my music for their masterpiece and my own instructor Mr.Omidvar Tehrani.

There she was, standing in the distance like a fading spirit. I remember all those days we spent together walking on the streets of that big busy city.I was only listening .There was no need for me to talk and she was speaking to me not by her mouth and lips but by her eyes. All I could ask for was her standing by my side, smiling. We walked for maybe an hour to the airport and there she was, standing on the other side of the passing gate. She just turned around and smiled, waved her hand at me. But to me it wasn't a goodbye. It was something even more heart-rending. Will we ever meet again?

For Lia

I grew up listening to and drowning to myself in ambient music world. I used to have visions, used to imagine an endless world of my own design and creation full of rain and clouds and beauty. As I grew older these visions stopped and I was forced to live without them for a very long time until recently, as I was falling sleep in a summer afternoon in my dark room, I had another vision. I was floating on the water in the ocean. Just water and nothing else. The sky was grayish blue and the sea was harsh. It made so happy. Maybe my old self is coming back to me. of course, not old me. The real me.

This is my first drone piece. I used a single guitar note a series of heavy sound processing for the loops.

Closure

I'm a big Celer fan. The stories he writes for his music are thought provoking, meaningful and deep. I was scrolling through his bandcamp catalog and I started reading about one of his albums.
In the end of his story he says "All you want is love, all you have are memories". There, I felt the blow to my feelings and memories, remembered my own memories and the world I left as my transition from a child to an adult. The house and the corridor are an everlasting source of joy and pain for me. I just closed my eyes and had another visit of the house.

So finally I finished my 3rd album. Oh boy! what a journey it was. From creating layers and layers of sound and mixing them altogether to slow and pianissimo playing of my favorite instrument to live recording strings. I can't wait to share the album with you all but remember that I will not upload the whole thing here. The first track from my new EP "Memories of Tomorrow", released by Circa Recordings on July 7th, 2020. A collection of 2 counterpoints and another piece I wrote back in 2018 but couldn't find a publisher for. 

Forgetting has always been the hardest thing I have had to do in my life. This EP is about the things I had to forget, the things I had to let go as a result of my transition from a dreamer child with a head full of hopes and dreams to a lost adult who questions life's purpose and reason every single day. The album title signifies the memories of my past that are going to be the only thing left for me from that time for the rest of my life. Memories I'll always cherish and I'll always think about. Recollections of my past that are going to be the memories for my days to come. Memories of my tomorrows.

"The absence of sound between notes are equally as critical as the chords. This is a minimalist exercise in contrast – the composer only presents what is required to conjure deep emotions.
