INNERVISIONS ÜBERALL w/ CHLOÉ CAILLET 210225

Having consistently played the most illustrious, largest clubs and festivals right across the world, in January Perc took the challenge of taking his diverse sound to The DBA, an old school, traditional British pub turned underground rave space over on Cheetham Hill Road in Manchester, with a 3 hour closing of The Lounge.

This was what happened, with a few words from Ali himself:

"The January event was my first time playing at The DBA in Manchester, but I had heard from a few DJ friends that it was a mad place to play.


My plan was to start with quite a house party / afterparty type of vibe (like the DJ Sandy track at 35 mins) and then see where the crowd wanted to go from there. 


The start of the set is filled with a lot of layering. Riffs and vocals like the DJ Funk (RIP) cuts at 11 mins layered over drum loops from other tracks. This seemed to keep the energy level building and then I could slowly bring the bigger riffs and hooks and some harder acid tracks as the set got a little tougher and faster.


After that it was just a case of seeing how far I could take the crowd and how far they would take me. I remember a lot of cheers, people charging forwards when certain tracks dropped and some attempts to dance on tables." - PERC

In this conversation editor-in-chief Irene de Craen talks with visual artist, educator and independent researcher Milena Bonilla about her work on the herbarium of Rosa Luxemburg and the many connections to epistemologies anathema to capitalism as well as historic and present-day struggles. Throughout her work, Bonilla has researched how the dismissal of the spiritual and other meanings of plants have caused a lot of violence in the world. Taking Luxemburg as an example, we examine how listening to plants and elements that are considered silent in western thinking, is both an act of resistance as well as care.

24 H MAGIC ROOM 21:00 TO 21:00 @ AULA MUSEO

On the 18th of December, the night before the students deliver their projects, music will start to resonate in the Aula Museo of the School of Architecture and will not stop for the following 24 hours. 24 sets in 24 hours. The aforementioned 24 hours will be streamed from a scenography designed and developed by students of DAI1, experimental drawing in a workshop supervised by Futuro Studio. The project will explore the capacity of streaming as a medium of communication and the relationship that can arise between time and material reality.

Futuro Studio and Lorenzo Garcia Andrade will curate the program. Throughout this 24 hours, the students will encounter a changing atmosphere in which they will be able to rest, sleep, dance or hide.

The line-up includes some of the leading actors of the current Madrid contemporary music scene, such as:
