Eigenstate (@eigen_state) is the new alias of the more techno-minded cofounder of TANK. Ascend /\ Descend is his debut album, which we release here on Soundcloud and through all major streaming platforms. The album is heavily influenced by European and American techno from the early 00’s and tries to capture the emotional highs and lows of the producer’s recent emotional life. 

Most of the music here is four to the floor, but tracks like Orbs, Ascend and Reminiscence try to look beyond pummelling kicks and standard techno percussion. Synths take center stage in tracks like Inward and System 11, whereas The Route Down and Sun.flight are more tool-like minimalist affairs. Slowburn, Descend, Seclusion and Parallel Shadows are the most peak-time here. 

With this self-released album, Eigenstate hopes to have found a voice and an own sound in the vast landscape of contemporary techno. Also listen to the album’s launch mix through our channel!
