Acre welcomes Lille's Méconium - aka Gaël Douek - to the fold, with The Synaptic Vesicle Routine, a startling three-track EP fusing the worlds of speedcore, glitched sound design and IDM. Douek has been releasing diverse music since 2013, utilising a varied array of software and hardware with a different set up for each release. On The Synaptic Vesicle Routine he sources material from modular synths and field recordings, processing sounds via granular synthesis and complex effects. The result is a beguiling melding of speedcore, gllitch, IDM, flashcore, hardcore and breakcore.

Collision (2014)

Scientists at CERN's particle accelerator were baffled to see a routine test run result in the materialization of about half an hour of sonic mayhem: unnerving noise textures, ambiances seemingly from another galactic quadrant and pulsing, gargling rhythmic structures beyond decipherable. The audiotransmission which was recorded this morning is, by lack of other plausible theory, speculated of alien origin.
