It Won't Last For Long

Space Force invades the mysteriously bizarre planet. They think they've found the resources for advanced life... Ancient gold, a superconductor of infinite green energy. Torn between stripping the land or preserving its nature, the cosmonauts ultimately decide it's best for the fate of their home civilization to harvest this newfound biome of its power. 

After surreal traversions, they stumble upon the native Babylonian women, majestic mages who live amongst the tides, whose eyes and mind can spark fire at an instant. The elder merwomen meet upon the crest of the sea to show the journeymen this sorcery through ritual, and invite their spiritual presence. The men, doubtful and oblivious to the magic, abandon the hand of assimilation, and choose to diverge across the lush terrain...

Amidst the extensive radar testing, Space Captain Jaxon stumbles upon the richest treasure of them all, the Gold Plate of Marduk. It possesses all the power needed to forever fuel their space stations- they steal the relic, and rush to ascend back home...

The women are left betrayed, and summon the almighty Queen Semiramis to the Hanging Garden. Upon placement of the Crown of Ishtar, she manifests the raw energy of the ocean for ultimate revenge, through a temporal meditation known as Metaphysical Abstraction... Babylon Gold Pt. 1

The band is clearly influenced by the 70s rock and funk era paying homage to such artists as Sly and the Family Stone, The Meters, and Steely Dan. However, they have a compelling aspect to their songs which draws both musically and lyrically from R&B and Soul. Eight Track Parade is currently playing shows throughout the Carolinas and Georgia in support of their first album, a self-titled funk-rock slip n’ slide through the soft underbelly of the groove. The album only pauses briefly for you to catch a breath with a couple of masterful rock ballads and pop songs. The shows are more of an exploration of everything the album has to offer. Funk medleys sandwiched between a blazing rock tune and a soft ballad offer fans an opportunity to not only appreciate 8TP, but all of the great artists that have influenced the band’s writing.
