Step inside the sound of @alienrecordings maestros A², recorded live at MASS, Temple of Boom in Leeds, UK. 

Last September, we were informed of the awful news of Andy Panayi passing. Following a short battle with cancer, the gentleman, innovator and role model of this movement left us with the countless memories and stacks of timeless music.

It is with great pleasure and the word of Alec, we present this special mix of these two UK legends in full flow, spinning records in their natural habitat of the dance.

The upmost gratitude and respect goes out to Alec and all the Alien Recordings family for allowing us to publish this memory. Tune into 2 hours of Alien Recordings, recorded 30th August 2019, 2-4am

French artist on the rise Karaba has had several outings on scene-specific labels like Nuances de Nuit, Tessellate, Aimed or Haŵs over the past few years with his partly deep 90s-influenced House sound, which merges the various eras of the genre and enhances it to the next level without forgetting about its origins. Speaking of the latter Karaba compiled the latest and final episode of the art:cast series sprinkling some heavy Disco-magic throughout the almost two hour lasting musical fairy tale taking the listener through not so snowy but rather some cuddly dance floor times with a vibe that unleashes the magic that this music can bring.

Alex Nunes was born in southern Brazil, where he started his career as a DJ and producer. Soon he felt attracted to the Brazilian underground scene and later became a partner of the Eight or Eighty Records which has activities in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and Brazil.
Constantly looking to create new and innovative music, today he lives in London where he broadens his perception of the local electronic scene, exposed to new genre influences but with greater identification with electro, minimal, and techno. These experiences help him to evolve his productions, always seeking his personal growth as an artist.

The next mix in our Friends & Family series comes from the head of Barcelona's hottest dance music distributor and record store; Subwax.
Baldo has been at the forefront of club records in the Spanish capital for many years starting in Subwax under the faithful hand of Jimi Disko in 2013 going on to take-over the company entirely in 2020. In recent years Subwax has started to focus mainly on dealing with labels under tech, deep and garage house sounds from the likes of some our favourites Limosine Dream, Mindhelmet, Sunset Drifters & Spaziotempo to only name but a few but the quality list very much goes on & on.
Baldo also handles many of his own imprints through the illusive distro, Physical Education, Curated By Time and BLD Tape Recordings. His thought provoking productions have also seen him appear on Gerd Janson's Running Back as well as Unknown to the Unknown's rave ready E-Beamz off-shoot! We are delighted to have Baldo on our F&F series where he is showcasing plenty of what has come and gone and what will come to be on the distro that he has dedicated his career to. @baldo

Bianca Blaze é uma DJ do norte de Londres que esteve rodeada de música durante toda a sua vida.

Ela tem origem caribenha e a música com a qual cresceu reflete isso. Jungle, reggae, soul, funk e blues foram a trilha sonora de sua infância, inspirando-a a começar a estudar música e aprender a tocar piano. A partir daí, a música inspiraria, moldaria e influenciaria significativamente sua vida.

Bianca se apaixonou instantaneamente pelos decks, encontrando alegria em misturar todos os gêneros. Recentemente, sentiu-se atraída especialmente pelo minimal house underground.

Outros empreendimentos na cena incluem seu próprio evento e programa de rádio. Seu evento, Twisted Dimensions, tem sede no leste de Londres e está crescendo continuamente. Ela também tem um programa de rádio na Kream FM chamado Minimal Mondays, onde convida outros talentos para se expressarem livremente nos decks.

Bianca Blaze is a DJ from North London who has been surrounded by music her whole life.

She has a Caribbean background and the music she grew up around reflects that. Jungle, reggae, soul, funk and blues provided the soundtrack to her childhood, inspiring her to start studying music and learn how to play piano. From there on, music was to inspire, shape and influence her life significantly.

Bianca instantly fell in love with DJing, finding joy in mixing all genres. More recently, she’s been especially attracted to an underground minimal house sound. 

Other ventures in the scene include her own event and radio show. Her event, Twisted Dimensions, is based in East London and is growing steadily. She also has a radio show on Kream FM called Minimal Mondays, where she invites other talents in to express themselves freely on the decks.

Para Harred, a música eletrônica é uma terapia, um ritual, uma religião.

Harred began his journey as a DJ eight years ago. Since then, he has dedicated himself to exploring the vast universe of the different aspects of electronic music.

Despite flirting with several genres, techno has always held a special place in his heart, his original productions are between industrial and acid, but he values the freedom to create different moments in his sets, without being tied to a single genre.

For Harred, electronic music is therapy, a ritual, a religion.

Sound engineer by training, Marseille born and bred Eliott is a self taught music lover since his youngest age. 

An early hip hop and raggae fan, his older peers initiate him to electronic music at 14, with labels such as Perlon, Minibar or Logistick. 

Later on, he co-founds Bankkara Discord with a few close friends, throwing parties that overlook the turquoise creeks of the Phocaean city. 

Throughout the years, he navigates between break, electro, house, and downtempo music, refining his technical skills and impeccable taste.
