I really like the bass in this. People underestimate bass, but in all reality, bass is the rhythm that makes listeners sway. It is not as out-going as guitar, but it is the shy yet solid sound that gives it character.

I used these jangly nuts that rattle for the rhythm part, I think they are from Mexico. I wanted to evoke the longing of a houseplant that sits by the window and dreams of being outside, in the soil that connects it to every other plant on earth, but does not know that out there it is winter, and all the plants are frozen or dormant. I take good care of my houseplants, but they are hard to please.
