Bluestaeb is one of the key figures of the new generation of up and coming beat producers from Berlin/Germany. Equally influenced by Dilla and Ta-ku they won't let them label you as "future" or "boom bap", the actually maneuver in between those sounds effortlessly. "Rodalqulilar" will be Bluestaeb's debut of Jakarta and will take you on a journey to the spanish town of Rodalquilar where Bluestaeb spent quite some of his childhood in his parents house. URS 008 I Zebra Centauri - Zweiheit

Im Winter sind die Wolken über Istanbul leicht gelblich. Das kommt daher, dass viele in der Stadt noch mit Braunkohle heizen. Es gibt aber auch andere Wolken, die nicht über der Stadt sondern in den Straßen der Metropole wabern. Die Wolken aus Tränengas der türkischen Polizei. Versprüht gegen friedlich demonstrierende Menschen. Das türkische Vocal im Intro unseres Tracks sagt dazu: "Die Menschen auf den Straßen von Istanbul atmen die gelben Wolken ein und pusten sie raus aus der Stadt in Richtung Meer." Die Kinder, die auf dem Track-Cover zu sehen sind, stehen sinnbildlich für diese friedlich Demonstrierenden. Sie tanzen in den Wolken aus Tränengas.

It starts without rush. Natural sounds, soft pads, a diverse soundscape, open minded. Then the bass is coming in - straight and loud. A mixture of organic and electronic music, a mixture of old and new - welcome at the “Ancient Lake“, so clear and colorful. We are invited by Jonas Saalbach, a well known Live Act and producer from Berlin. On his first album he combines melodies and dancefloor elements, hard bass lines and story telling instruments. 

We’ll find tracks grown with time on the album. Some are based on classical techno styles like “Driven By Madness feat. MZ Sunday Luv“ and “Hammada“. Others are made for listening and dreaming like “Thinking Of You“ and “June Gloom“. You can feel the spirit of summer in every number, the desire for adventures in the nature, the energy of the sun. Jonas Saalbach presents his summary of a year full of travels and studio nights. His cooperations with Paul Klatt for example, are an important part of his work. Berlin is a big playground for him with a lot of inspiration every day and so the album is like a story board of life, a perfect starter for a new season, energetic and unstoppably creative.

Fresh off the back of the Juno number one seller EP 'Midnight In Peckham' on Rhythm Section, they delve into deeper territory with emotive title track ‘Constraints Of Time Travel’. The B-side is a more familiar affair with trademark swingy percussion and expert use of samples providing a deep warm house sound we’ve come to expect from the pair.
