Kosher community launches a series of electronic audio records.

The first issue was recorded by the well-known Tomsk electronic musician Nikita Rocketer, better known under the pseudonym Marshall Fishwick.

This man can be called a hardened musical unit.

Behind his shoulders:

● participation in the audiovisual #techno #house duet "LTL"

● work as a sound engineer

Nikita recorded for us #Lofihouse mix of eighteen mostly unrecorded compositions, with elements of #techno  and #industrialrock music, at the end adding a bit of #ambient.

A few words from the author:

● The recording is peculiar of course, but it "sounds" in my opinion.

DOMA in Russian means “at home”. For the last two months, my home has been a small city close to the Atlantic Ocean named Saint-Gilles-Croix-De-Vie. I am there, luckily, surrounded by so many soundscapes: new birds, different noises of waves, thunderstorms, and hundreds of seagulls. I'm spending so much time observing seagulls’ life here, how they are making nests on our roof, flying against the wind, catching fish on the waves. I was recording flute with open windows so you can hear all those Atlantic noises. First track it’s a flute singing to seagulls, then seagulls to midi and midi to flute chain. Some of the tracks sound like soundscapes or cycles which you can loop. It’s like a daily routine of moments that I have started to appreciate more and more during this lockdown, finding surprises inside myself without a mirror.

PLAVAY. Hydrodance is a sound installation in the form of an audio meditation created by OMMA and curated by Anna Politiko. This work was commissioned by Zuzeum for its inaugural exhibition We Aim to Live. The word 'plavay'(плавай) means 'to swim' in Russian, and reflects a transient state of meditation. 

OMMA says of her work: “Due to the effects of synesthesia (a neurological condition that causes one to experience senses differently – one might hear colours or taste words), I hear water and the blue colour as smooth, sinusoidal waves of sounds, opposite to noisy or sharp vibrations. This whole audio piece delivers different moods and vibrations. I wanted to reveal the phases of nature, all hydro elements: low and high tides, wind, sea birds, and underwater creatures. The piece conveys the feeling of ‘underwaterness’ through sound filters. Some elements of the composition were recorded with Playtronica’s TouchMe device when I was playing with conductivity in the water. ”

The PLAVAY. Hydrodance meditation hour* invites audiences to become entangled with water on a quantum level while surrounded by art. Water flows through us, it unifies all beings. By fostering interconnectedness through meditation, we gain new ways of feeling, seeing, and understanding.

Sound artist OMMA (Olga Maximova) studied jazz piano at Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. OMMA has an innovative and playful approach to music. Outside of performing and recording, OMMA is the co-creator of the tech project Playtronica, which turns everyday objects into musical instruments. She has staged solo synesthetic exhibitions in collaboration with Centre Pompidou, Palais de Tokyo, Foundation Louis Vuitton, L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, and Erarta.
