Als wir nachhause kamen hatten die Tintenfische die Kontrolle über das Studio Übernommen. Sie beklagten sich über zu klare Beats und zu schnelles Tempo. Dementsprechend mussten wir einen aufschwobbeln um sie wieder sanftmütig zu stimmen.

For this years edition Kiezburn I had the opportunity of helping to build a jungle themed Artcar (IG: mogli.artcar) and play the friday opening set on it. Specially for Moglis satisfaction I procured some vibing indie dance and afro house to fit the theme! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did playing!

What was that all about: lost my voice at noon, completely frozen and terrible cold incoming. 15 minutes before the show my wallet was gone, too. After a brief unsuccessful search, I got ready to perform. Was told that my slot was being pushed back an hour. Continued searching for my wallet and picked it up at Lost & Found - with every cent still inside. 

Then: straight to the decks and familiarized myself with the equipment while DJing, bc I until then I had only known it from a YouTube tutorial. The light show and sound system were on another level. So was the crowd. My friends dancing around me. And the set turned out to be exactly the rollercoaster of genres and emotions I had planned to deliver. I'll never forget the last moment, the silence in the crowd waiting for the drop - until they realized the set was over.

Last year on my birthday I said that my biggest dream would be to play at #Sisyphos and it felt pretty illusionary. One year later it actually happened. #Femquency was invited to take over the Kaschemme floor and we shared such a warm and uplifting night with all our friends supporting us.
I am deeply grateful for everything that has unfolded..

Das Schwinden kultureller Freiräume in Mainz und dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet ist ein politischer Effekt, dem wir standhaft und entschlossen entgegen treten wollen. Kunst und Kultur sind Teil der Gesellschaft. Wir sind uns sicher: Wenn wir hier Veränderung schaffen können, dann geben wir auch weitere Impulse in die Gesellschaft. Im Vordergrund unserer Arbeit steht die Verwirklichung von nicht-kommerziell ausgerichteten, selbst organisierten Solidaritäts- und Tanzveranstaltungen.
