Shallow Brains - LINJA Remix

Deep evocative bass, percussive tap and robotic didgeridoo kicks off as we lead with a thumping kick, casting a hypnotic spell before falling into flowing melodic twists and turns. The minor tom drop flips into acid rhythmic delirium and we are cruising over the melody before the soaring deep synth pad elevates us and ushers in the anthemic building chorus. Percussion drops out and we float free on vintage synth melodic Ibiza stabs before the arpeggiated snare pulls us into the major drop. We are all in, driving, pulsing until the synth melody gives way to a river of bass, synth waves and robotic didgeridoo that winds in and out to the delicious finish.

“The Establishment” EP features three distinct tracks: the original mix, a TJ Lawton Remix, and a Mosh Remix, each offering a unique experience. The original mix showcases the synergy between Hasan Ghazi’s signature groovy basslines and ethereal vocal reverb effects, and Heatscore’s melodic prowess. Together, they’ve crafted a powerful, emotionally charged track that promises to take listeners on a mesmerizing afterhours journey. The haunting female vocals that resonate throughout the track, alongside Jim Morrison’s wisdom-infused breakdowns, create an unforgettable experience that’s as moving as it is dance-floor ready.

UK’s own TJ Lawton brings his unique melodic techno twist to the EP with a remix that dives into the deeper, more hypnotic realms of electronic music. His shadowy, yet enchanting sound is a perfect match for late-night sets, adding a layer of afterhours energy to the mix.

Mosh, a Pakistani DJ and producer currently based in the UK and one half of the renowned Fake Shamans, contributes a remix that blends deep house with techno elements. Known for his fusion of Eastern and Western beats, Mosh’s remix is infused with intricate beats, rolling basslines, and piano chord grooves, creating a chilled-out vibe ideal for sunrise or sunset sessions.

Aftermath

Avant-garde house music between lofi- and minimal / deep house, techno, glitch and electronica, plunderphonics and house, the Westend Ghetto Guys somehow occupy a niche of their own and live from strange glitches and bizarre sounds. Bootleg remixes and mashups for 'iamamiwhoami' also lead to an official remix ("N") and collaborations with other musicians (e.g. 3PM, Minute Taker, Christopher Norman, Klordop / Tis, Morgen Wurde) from the Swedish pioneers of viral video chips. Not surprisingly, the collective from the Westend Ghetto even published sample libraries for the renowned magazine "Computer Music" and for the 'sounds2sample'-Platform and offers highly acclaimed "ensembles" in the Reaktor community ("Native Instruments").
