It starts without rush. Natural sounds, soft pads, a diverse soundscape, open minded. Then the bass is coming in - straight and loud. A mixture of organic and electronic music, a mixture of old and new - welcome at the “Ancient Lake“, so clear and colorful. We are invited by Jonas Saalbach, a well known Live Act and producer from Berlin. On his first album he combines melodies and dancefloor elements, hard bass lines and story telling instruments.

We’ll find tracks grown with time on the album. Some are based on classical techno styles like “Driven By Madness feat. MZ Sunday Luv“ and “Hammada“. Others are made for listening and dreaming like “Thinking Of You“ and “June Gloom“. You can feel the spirit of summer in every number, the desire for adventures in the nature, the energy of the sun. Jonas Saalbach presents his summary of a year full of travels and studio nights. His cooperations with Paul Klatt for example, are an important part of his work. Berlin is a big playground for him with a lot of inspiration every day and so the album is like a story board of life, a perfect starter for a new season, energetic and unstoppably creative.

After the release of their successful collaborative EP "BREED" last year, Nicole Moudaber and Skin (Skunk Anansie) now welcome a slew of today's top artists for a special remix package.

Originally born out of Nicole and Skin's desire to fuse their rock and techno backgrounds, this is a true for a collaboration project with a difference. On this package, we see the likes of Jamie Jones, Carl Craig, Scuba, Paco Osuna, Pan-Pot, and more deliver their unique tastes on tracks such as "Someone Like You," "These Walls Are Made Of Water," and "You Like This". "BREED The RMXS" is the latest incarnation of Nicole and Skin’s collaboration since the original project’s release. The pair have since been sharing the stage with each other at high-profile slots such as Space Ibiza and Coachella, with the original EP accepted into at Grammys for consideration - the remixes ensure that there now is a version of each track to fit into any set.

Today, off the package, we exclusively premiere the Fur Coat remix of 'Organic Love'. In taking the original EP's most "conventional" "techno" track, the Venezuelan duo takes the track into a more dark, dramatic affair.

For its fourth EP of the year 2017, Curiosity Music highlights Kevin Mark’s talent. This young Irish-Dutch DJ and producer composed three rhythmic and hypnotic tracks resolutely designed for dancefloors. In a typically techno-minimal style, his productions inspired his friend and neighbour Joop Junior, but also the Japanese duo SUDO, who had already collaborated on ‘Vanishing’, a previous EP by Hc Kurtz.
