As the summer season slowly closes it's curtains it's once more the Radikon Various Artist time of the year. We thoughtfully picked a thrifty but meteoric mix of talents on their individual height of their creative lifespans. So far. Indian groove wizard 'Ankytrixx' casts the mighty opening spell for 'Sesa' with 'Baby2000'. This magical high voltage ride never lets go of its initial tension built on a fundament of punchy kicks, deep pads and dancing hi-hats, while the hypnotic lead pattern evolves into a noisy ascension of its former self. This compilations also sets the stage for the long awaited Radikon debut of 'Hools', who brings a whole 'Coalition of Darkness' with him. Epic choirs are winging its ways over a fluttering 16th bass grid, while the listener floats in a crossfire of soaring synth shots. NDW-esque spoken words pave the path through 'Kinetische Impulse' by Belgian producer 'Axel Haube', backed by 'ELV/RA' on vocal duty. An allover trippy experience handmade for strobe light thunderstorms in the festival woods. 'Timelapse' and 'Attma' finally escort us out of this world with their paramount masterpiece 'Interstellar'. Alien robotic voices lead us through the rough darkness of space, guided by harsh pointy drums and loose melody curves which leave the track in a constant swing state between both cold and warm spheres.

Neapoli-born, Milan-based duo Moonwalk follows up to their 2022-issued 'Dune' EP for Stil vor Talent with their latest two-tracker, 'Eternal', due for release on 29th September. A supra-dynamic foray into their multi-faceted headspace, this new studio effort sees the Italian pair join forces with Alessio Cristiano and EarthLife on two cuts clearly designed with the club in mind. Exponents of a sound both brazenly vanguard whilst paying due tribute to the classic Italo scene through hair-raising buildups and heavy-duty programming, Dario and Mauro have us traversing a wide-ranging palette of sensations, merging "introspection, melancholy and euphoria" as they like to recall. And to say the least, 'Eternal' fits that definition to a tee with its implacable momentum, dead set to take dance floors and ravers by storm.

Made in collaboration with Alessio Cristiano, who created that head-turning melody around which the track revolves, 'Eternal' is pukka Moonwalk material by the book. Spinning at fast pace, its tsunami of ecstatic synths rolls and loops in and out of focus as Dario and Mauro raise the pressure to exhilarating effect. A tunnel-like ride covered with crisp keyboard extravaganza a la Moroder, laced with steroid-fuelled drums and kicks pounding their way across Moonwalk's cosmic sound design with unrelenting horsepower. Teaming up with EarthLife on 'Zoe', Dario and Mauro do not alter their course an iota, rather much ushering us headlong into a boiling keg of electro-pop pyrotechnics. Highly volatile but just as catchy when it comes to that fluttering melody (try and get it off your head), the track proves a reliable ally to the DJ in search of a potent weapon for in-limbo moments, packing the right amount of melancholia-infused dreaminess and that all-terrain punch that'll wreak massive ruckus in its wake.

ODTD051 marks the Øddity debut of in-demand melodic techno titan Olivier Giacomotto. Renowned for high quality productions allied to a complete dedication to his craft, Olivier has recent releases and remixes on Atlant, Spectrum, Radikon, Einmusika and his own label Definitive. There’s been a lot of excitement around Olivier lately - on the evidence of these two new stunning tracks its easy to see why.

Leading the way is title track ‘Empty Space’. Setting an urgent driving 4/4 pace right from the start Olivier displays total understanding of the key elements needed to get the dance-floor locked in. Deep pulsating bass and dramatic percussive crashes create a heightened sense of anticipation, before cool fx ridden vox and a jagged arp attack lead to the momentous breakdown. From here Olivier cranks the intensity dial up to 11 right through to the end.
