After their release ‘Saat’, Florian Kruse & Blaktone decided to continue their successful collaboration with a new release called ‚Ursa Major’, which Soulfooled is proud to present to you today.

‚Alcor’ stands for what we all so desperately miss during this pandemic: To release energy on the dance floor. While this tune is characterized through its melodic and melancholic trip, ’Talitha’ is the „raver“ on this release. It drives constantly forward, grooving and while it builds up its tension towards the peak in the main break. Florian & blaktone described: „We were thinking about playing it out loud on a big rave during the production process“. And you can hear that. 
Broken beats, 303 bassline & chords dynamically changing and a lead sound as main melody - thats the recipe of ‘Liesma’. The song was inspired from a combination of sounds representing the past of electronic music and its characteristics from today.

Presenting their third release of the year, Astral Records unveils Part One of their 'Momentum' series. Following on from their highly styled brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody and emotion, Astral Records looks forward into the future with the 'Momentum' collection. Wrapped up in this five-track journey is a variety of trance-inspired themes and dance floor minded grooves, a marriage of sound which is currently taking clubland by storm. Featured on the first installment are (in order of appearance) ReCorpo, Ben Deeper and Joshlane, MID LØW, Pirmin Kenk and Patrick Krause.

Hailing from Italy and providing the first selection is ReCorpo, who makes his label debut. Previously known as VayFlor, the Naples resident has compiled a meticulous discography since creating the new moniker in 2021. ICONYC, Polyptych Noir and Suprematic have served as landing spots for his atmospheric brand of techno. Continuing on an upwards trajectory as 2022 enters its second quarter, ReCorpo now debuts on Astral with 'Ondata'. Led by a rumbling groove, pulsating rhythms and neatly manicured percussion, its poignant nature proves to be quite compelling. Warm and inviting across the first act, its emotional slant rises as placid pads and wispy effects sweep across the stereo field. The main break proves to be hugely memorable, as delicate vocal stabs melt down to full phrasing for goosebump worthy moments, before a balmy drop cues a heartfelt finale.

Just a few months after EdOne purveyed his own reinterpretation to
Ivory & Auggie’s leaden prototype, demonstrating a fine
comprehension of “Basic Rhythm,” he returns on MoBlack Records,
now alongside Martin HERRS, and INVŌKER on remix duties, with
“Tatalina.” On A side, the Spaniards delicately unfold a poignant
sojourn that wanders and diffuses the rims of isolation and
belonging. The tender, 6:28 minute aural escapade starts off with a
simple ingress, pummeled by an inquisitive bassline into a gripping
melodic procession. Tatalina escalates to a euphoric stillness
transcended by haunting piano chords, but breaks free when
intermittently disrupted by deep synthetic pulsations, evoking the
frailty of memory and vulnerability of emotion.
French rising star INVŌKER deploys his empowered rendition of the
title track, pulling a bit less feeling from emotion and a little more
feeling from sense. Tension and groove pull and reverb in this
particular tug of play, where space is dark, energy is incandescent
and the texture of sound is moist and locomotive. MB384 sits in the
juncture of memory, motion and emotion, a pursuit of that fleeting
moment that is only present in one instant, as well as an attempt to
prolong its existence through sound.
