Steve Semtex Mixtape | Akustische Aquarelle

Belgian DJ / Producer @pat-lezizmo launches imprint Muzik & Friends with a limited vinyl only release packed with quality featuring a collaboration with one of the hottest underground producers in Belgium @frederickalonso (Stab Records) together with an attention grabbing remix package from @estroe, @pablo-bolivar and @mjfitzmusic.

'Tablao' is a dubbed out infused roller that incorporates live recorded elements referencing the wooden floor where the flamenco dancers perform on. Full of atmosphere and suspense with guitar and percussion elements layered with chords that brings the drama of the dance.

First lady of the Dutch house & techno scene Estroe (Rosedale Records) takes on the alternative A-Side with a dark and atmospheric cut full of mystery and breakbeats. The B-Side is headed up by Pablo Bolivar (Avantroots Records), his subtle, warm and intriguing mix is coupled with a more jazzy vibe, playing around with the chords to give a more balearic sound. Lastly UK Producer MJ F!TZ (HATCHED) takes things down the road of vigorous beats, stabs, vocal cuts providing an energetic workout with emphasis on the deep soundscape of the original.

Designed with the music collector in mind the limited (500) vinyl release will be available from May 2015 packaged in hand made sleeves made from recycled materials.

Motek welcomes Jonas Saalbach with his first release on the label “Everything Changes”. Jonas has delivered a silky smooth piece of Deep House, warm bass undertones and textured airy synth sounds paving the way through this undulating production. The gentle builds and subtle falls creating the basis for the the key focal point of the spoken word. Remixers on this release come from Motek boss Matt Hardinge, along with Andrea Ljekaj and Gab Rhome. Matt Hardinge has taken the track a little darker with more emphasis on sharper bass parts giving the remix more grit in texture whilst still keeping the feeling of the original track. Andrea Ljekaj has added space to his take on Everything Changes. A minimal bass part playing off the kick drum creates a punchy groove, providing freedom to enjoy the interplay of synth and percussive parts. Finally Gab Rhome has also given the track more space, adding Tech elements with woody percussive sounds set back against a washy hi hat to create his sharp dance rhythms. As the track progresses it starts to rise and develop as he adds more melody movement in, building gradually from start to finish.

Dear friends of Connaisseur,
In our scene, a decade is a long time.
When we started the label, we didn't have a master plan, we simply wanted to put out good music we loved, of which we were sure others would love it as well. The way Connaisseur subsequently grew came naturally. If you are music lovers like we are, current musical tendencies will of course always have an infuence on your sound,but basically we stayed true to ourselves and our core has always stayed the same. Yes, we love melodies, yes, we love deepness and yes, we love great emotions, but in which electronic style these are conveyed, is rather secondary. That is our leitmotif, from "Eve By Day" until today and every day to come.
For our anniversary release, we had the idea of asking for collaborations only, as we like the energy of two creative minds coming together and creating something special. Some of the chosen couples had already worked together, others had not. As a result, we now have 6 collaborations, which will be released digitally in two parts and as a selection of three tracks from the two parts on a very nice, limited vinyl.
We are very happy about the variety of styles we have received: From modern trance in the best possible manner f r o m Olderic and Peter Pardeike, over timeless Detroit-infuenced techno-guardian sound by the two legends Aril Brikha and Chymera, start-of-the-art melodic tech-house from our fgureheads Lehar and Musumeci, a cover-version of the 90ies alternative rock classic „Pets“ from Pornos for Pyros by our norse darlings Of Norway in collaboration with the Scandinavian pop- star Linnea Dale and the multi-instrumentalist Preben Olram, a Warp-style electronica pearl by the Wareika sidekick project Silky Raven together with Hamburg club-dj legend Solaris 100, to last but not least a techy guarantor by Maltese pirate The Element and Connaisseur label head Alex Flitsch.
This is part two of 10y of Connaisseur featuring Aril Brikha & Chymera, The Element & Alex Flitsch and Of Norway & Linnea Dale & Preben Olram.

Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Weich wird man wohl – allmählich und zwangsläufig – nach sechzig Malen oder fünf Zigjahren Montagssorbet. Da erfreuen wir uns am Händedruck und nicken am Kopf ganz affirmativ, wenn drei zierliche Buchstaben so ziemlich die Fußstapfen eines fantastischen Jahresabschlusses verzeichnen: @RSS Disco stehen am Schäumer, denn heute gibt's Sorbet mit Mélange à trois.

Die Ideen zu der neuesten EP vom Gespann @buchneroberst stammen ursprünglich aus einem Pool von Track-Entwürfen, die ursprünglich mal für ein Album gedacht waren. „Die Tracks sind etwas anders als unsere bisherigen Veröffentlichungen, weniger auf den Dancefloor ausgerichtet, eher experimenteller mit vielen Pop-Einflüssen“, erzählen Andreas Buchner und Sebastian Oberst, „wir haben uns da eher ausgetobt, viel ausprobiert. Vermutlich spielen da poppige Einflüsse aus unserer Kindheit eine gewisse Rolle, die wohl aber eher unbewusst mit eingeflossen sind.“ Herausgekommen ist die 3-Track-starke „Emile“. „Greg“ kommt daher wie ein Breakbeat-Bad voller sommerlichen Akkorde. Here at ATLANT we’re always excited to unearth something vibrant and exciting. This time we set our course for Cologne, a city with a burgeoning reputation for producing new electronic talent, as we proudly welcome Søren Laga to the fold.

After a debut for iconic afro house imprint MoBlack, Søren’s work has an emphasis on quality and integrity. Rather than following trends Søren is brave, charting his own path, wherever the music takes him. When music is this good, who can blame him.

‘Pentagon’ fuses tribal percussive influences, floating chords and subtle dramatic embellishments against a wailing synth theme that builds and simmers as the dance- floor sways as one .. lost in unison to the groove, until a intense release of euphoria snaps the crowd out of their hypnotic state.

Taking things deeper the soothing keys of ‘Origami’ captivate as the bass-line gently pulses, allowing the mesmerising siren-like motif to take over. A lesson in melody and restraint, as with ‘Pentagon’ all key moments are judged to absolute perfection.

Tried and tested live by label head BOg the two tracks on show have collected their air miles from Munich to Moscow. With so much to bring you now and into 2019 these are exciting times for ATLANT. We hope you feel the buzz too.

SØREN LAGA

Hailing from Cologne, Søren Laga is just starting out on an artistic journey full of promise and endless possibilities. The 24 year-old German producer and DJ made his debut on Casetta Records before gaining wider acclaim with his incredible debut EP 'Moving Light' for iconic afro house tastemakers MoBlack Records.

Producing melodic, deep house Søren prides himself in creating music for people who like to close their eyes in the club, getting lost in the sound and beats, to enjoy those special personal moments as well as a collective togetherness.

With his next EP forthcoming on BOg’s ATLANT it can’t be long before word gets out. So watch this space, Søren Laga has a bright future and is a name to look out for.
