The song tells the narrative of a woman who is complaining about her partner's apparent financial insolvency. She states that he was financially well off in 1922, but now has nothing. She claims it is because he wasted it on other women, and that these lovers will no longer show any interest in him now that he is poor. She claims that he tricked her into a relationship where all he has to offer her is "a drink of gin." She ends each verse asking why the man does not 'do right' by her, and then throws him out, insisting that he go earn a living in order to support her.

Paradise City Festival 2015

It starts without rush. Natural sounds, soft pads, a diverse soundscape, open minded. Then the bass is coming in - straight and loud. A mixture of organic and electronic music, a mixture of old and new - welcome at the “Ancient Lake“, so clear and colorful. We are invited by Jonas Saalbach, a well known Live Act and producer from Berlin. On his first album he combines melodies and dancefloor elements, hard bass lines and story telling instruments.

We’ll find tracks grown with time on the album. Some are based on classical techno styles like “Driven By Madness feat. MZ Sunday Luv“ and “Hammada“. Others are made for listening and dreaming like “Thinking Of You“ and “June Gloom“. You can feel the spirit of summer in every number, the desire for adventures in the nature, the energy of the sun. Jonas Saalbach presents his summary of a year full of travels and studio nights. His cooperations with Paul Klatt for example, are an important part of his work. Berlin is a big playground for him with a lot of inspiration every day and so the album is like a story board of life, a perfect starter for a new season, energetic and unstoppably creative.

A new day, a new day, and a silver lining. Clawz SG returns to Steyoyoke to imprint his positive emotion on the ethereal sound. The Silver Lining EP is packed with four original compositions, each more bright than the last.

Title track 'Silver Lining' features dulcet tones over dark bass lines, ultimately conveying an aura of emotionality reflected in the manner Clawz SG has arranged his sounds. A stormy star on the apex of deep waters, Silver Lining is true to its own name.

'Emerge' features a composition of a more complex nature, tricking and teasing the mind as to the directional movement of the piece. A beauty in its own right, 'Emerge' emerges from this EP as a pheonix rises from ashes.

'Solace' grabs the listener by the ear and mind, grouping together deeper octaves in synthetic sounds, coupled with whims of a melodic rythm which push and pull the groove in opposing ways; yet this Solace remains united.

Lastly, 'Revive' takes its place as the closing track on this Silver Lining EP. The revival of love, sound, and harmony seeps through this tracks unique arrangement, coupled with Clawz SG's ability to produce unique sounds.

A Silver Lining around a golden cloud, this 'Silver Lining' EP is a strong reflection of a progress, adoration, and ethereal mood that Steyoyoke was built upon.
