June's comes from an old buddy and someone we've been itching to work with for a long time, Laurence Guy. He recently cooked up this steamy, slowmo edit that we think is the bees knees and just perfect for this time of year: like the seasons, it seems in transition, teetering on the edge of something hot and sweaty and bright. As such, we feel it'll do wonders as a lead or closing track​―or a mid-set mix-up. You tell us! Download the thing and try it out. “One year ago, the team formed by Vidall  and Dactilar unleashed a John Lee Hooker cover/bootleg upon the world called “Nobody Knows.” The idea of dance music with a message is not paid much heed on the scene today but this concept has been the driving force behind their debut EP.

The title track, “The Device,” is a sophisticated slow dub house track containing a Herbie Hancock interview where we hear him respond to the question, how would you explain what a piano is to an alien? The next track, “Indeed” is a refreshing, powerful vocal house track that will force you out of your seat, and the insightful voice of Marvin Gaye grabs you and never lets go, as he speaks about show business over funk beats that crescendo into sonic emotion in “Part Of Me.”

This debut also features remixes by artists/friends who share the same exigence for their life’s passion: music. It’s no easy feat to have two heavyweights like Martin Buttrich and Guti on the same wax, but AR pulled it off. The “maestro” Martin supplies with “Indeed Remix” a groovy dancefloor hit with elegant vibes, while Guti delivers two remixes of “The Device”–a profound trip reminiscent of the hypnotic african rhythms, and a delightfully ambient tune to perfectly close out one of the most exciting EPs of the year.”

The first release from Rob Garza's Magnetic Moon imprint, Palace of Mirrors features six tracks inspired by the fields of Oaxaca, Mexico, travels through Mumbai, and the transcendentalism that follows.

“Re Mana” features Mumbai-based vocalist Vasuda Sharma hailing who Rob connected with through Andy MacKaye of Bombay Dub Orchestra during his travels in India. Her voice is ethereal and otherworldly, floating on in with a dark-tech house groove. The first remix features Rob’s fellow DC natives, Nadastrom, keeping it deep and sexy with the second remix by UK-based Psychemagik offering up a stellar tripped out floor-groover. “Palace of Mirrors” also features Vasuda, bringing a beautiful and lush transcendental house vibe while the fields of Oaxaca-inspired “Blue Agave Fields” captures the deep bass of a desert-like dub atmosphere. “Hide the Sunlight” features the voice of Tenerife resident Sutja Gutiérrez, a friend met virtually after a heartfelt message online - a true testament to the kismet of the modern music industry. Sutja’s voice and the track’s instrumentation will have you vibing out with their 90’s underpinnings, rounding out this inaugural offering from Magnetic Moon.

Sometimes it's a matter of perspective. It’s that old story: If you only know one leg of the elephant, you might think it's a tree. Only different perspectives give you the full picture.

The same applies to a frame. For some, it means orientation, focus, safety, or the rules for a good game. For others, a frame means limitation, restriction, regulation, or an inappropriate narrative. Both perspectives are valid depending on space, time, and the people involved. Of course, different perspectives are not alternative facts. A fire in the Carakum Desert is not a date grove. However, the meaning of a fact depends on our perspective. Behind some perspectives are needs. That is human nature. I want to dance, you want to dance. Shall we try it together? Not every step on the other’s toe is wicked intent. Sometimes it's clumsiness, sometimes it's even funny, and sometimes you've just made a really wild move yourself. Sometimes it's a wake-up call… When we forget how to share different perspectives, we see trees where there are elephants, we see division where there are similarities, and fears are fulfilled instead of needs. And in the end, we may only see letters where we actually can hear Meeronauten Musik!

Spring season is open for Anathema Records, welcoming the Netherlands' duo Mononoid (Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy) with their label debut EP - 'Ballata'. Mononoid was born from the word 'Mono' (as in solo) and the word 'nooit' (Dutch for never), basically meaning 'never alone', connecting art and music evolving into their own unique sound.

'Ballata' kicks in with a pounding bassline combined with eerie sounds integrating melodic elements and organic percussions that crash all-together into a progressive build-up of mysterious synths with dark-clubby attitude.

Get Physical offer up another single from DJ T.'s forthcoming album alongside some superb remixes from Mordisco, Rey&Kjavik and Daniel Bortz.

DJ T.’s upcoming album Trans Orient Express lands in March 2020, offering a collection of forward thinking left of centre disco, house and indie dance, all infused with the global influences that are inspiring the man behind it. One of the standout moments from it is the stellar ‘Remish’.

This brilliantly colourful single is an enchanting cut with an oriental sounding lead melody that gets you under its spell throughout. Loose handclaps and bubbling, hypnotic house drums are interwoven by elastic bass and psyched-out guitar riffs to make for a most charming mood. First to
remix is Mordisco, a duo from Grenada who release their house and disco on Paper Recordings and Midnight Riot Records. Their version is a little darker, with more loose synths that spray about the mix to bring some late night party vibes to proceedings.

German artist Rey&Kjavik runs his own Rkadash, has remixed on here before and is a Mobilee associate who slows this one down into a dub disco groove that is invitingly fat and wobbly as those intoxicating leads ring out into the sky above. Suol man and slow house craftsmen Daniel Bortz flips it into something much edgier. His prickly version has lasers, twitching keys and a
pumping bassline that is more suited to sweaty dance floors.

All four tracks here offer something truly special for the dancefloor.
