Mr. @djzubescu is one of the founders of @templegroningen collective which already has few outstanding events under their belt. Zubescu has been shaping his musical taste since early childhood. He never stopped searching for exciting and profound music, whether it was in video game soundtracks, local underground scenes, the depths of the internet, or international festivals. He recently visited the island of Mauritius, where he assembled this mix highlighting breaks, heavier basslines, progressive house, hints of trance, and tropical vibes.

Born in Riga, Ksenia Kamikaza is a dj-producer now based in Georgia. As a prominent figure in the scene of Latvia, she’s the founder of Under Festival and also runs the label Platz für Tanz. She recently performed at Boiler Room and regularly plays at famous clubs and festivals as Burning Man, Fabric London, Dommune Tokyo, Khidi Tbilisi, Kater Blau Berlin... to name a few. Another bundle of goodness for the Episode Б26. As usual, she has put together a driving and highly energetic mix with hypnotic vibes, acidic feel and broken beats... including stuffs from Ayaz Yalançı, IORI, Joy Orbison, Koreless, Kyrro, Maelstrom, ZILLAs on ACID, Sam Goku, Jacques Satre, Tom VR, Claudio PRC...

Reclaim Your City 171 | Anja Zaube (Berlin)

Anja Zaube can look back on a long DJ-bio already. After first appearances as ‘Nanday’ in the left-winged underground of Berlin, she took a short break and had a come-back to the turntables in 2008 under her own name. She’s often seen in Berlin’s top-clubs, from which mostly to be heard in ://about blank.

After playing different genres of electronic dance music, Anja‘s sound turned darker and harder. Her interpretation of Techno is deep, bleak, but also industrial and experimental. That‘s what makes her sound unique and what finally got her several bookings in Berghain already and made her a popular DJ in the Berlin Underground Techno Scene.

After her first release on://about blank’s celebration sampler, she also released her first EP on the label HET, named Sylvan Structes EP. In January 2016 she launched her own label Nemorous Rec. in collaboration with Dim_Light - which has a more experimental approach to techno. A third release is already in the pipeline one with more to come. The mix for RYC opens with Lost, her new track which is going to be released on the next Nemorous Rec. very soon.

Reclaim Your City 171 | Anja Zaube

With his solo project @Cyspe, Robin Koek of @Artefakt-official paints deep, electronic atmospheres inspired by nature, cybernetics and architecture.

This podcast is a very personal voyage through Cyspe's record collection, moving from charged drone atmospheres, old tape experiments and dissonant voices into the ‘braindance’ works and melancholy of the early 90s, slowly diverging into early Japanese minimal techno and modern syncopations: a full spectrum eclectic journey that is crafted to resonate within the body, the mind and the all-encompassing spirit.

It comes in the lead-up to Cyspe's first live set at Patterns of Perception, on 22 September 2017 at OHM Berlin.

Raised in the heart of Europe, Empasym’s taste in electronic music has been shaped and inspired by a variety of scenes and sounds across the continent and beyond. Having lived in London, Brussels, Hamburg, and Hong Kong in the space of only 4 years, his musical project has served as a way to remain grounded in the face of change, providing a soundtrack to his introspection since starting off as a DJ some two years ago. 

Marked by seamless soundscapes and deep atmospheres, his sets are driven by a constant curiosity about when the next transition will arrive, or whether it already has. Strongly indebted to the deeper corners of Bandcamp and Soundcloud, his Oslated mix carries you on a journey across the labels, artists, and friends that have shaped his musical aesthetic.

유럽의 중심지에서 성장한 Empasym 의 전자음악에 대한 취향은 대륙과 그 너머의 다양한 씬과 사운드들에 의해 형성되고 영감을 받아왔다.
런던, 브뤼셀, 함부르크, 홍콩에서 4년동안 거주했던 그의 음악적 프로젝트는 2년전 DJ 를 시작한 직후, 그의 자기 성찰에 훌륭한 발자취를 제공하며 그 기반을 유지한다.

Quadrant Soundscape - QS.001

Brooklyn-based Chloé Lula appreciates the rawness and weirdness in music; something she translates into her exploits as a DJ, which sees her combing the far-reaching corners of industrial, EBM, techno and wave. 

As well as her own musical pursuits, she has a hand in keeping the cogs turning behind the scenes at several labels, including both her own Detour imprint launched in 2012 and the inimitable aufnahme + wiedergabe, for whom she spent time working as label manager back in Berlin. 

This year will see the release of several EPs worth of material she's been sitting on for a while, one being a debut on the aforementioned German label she has close ties with, and another a split EP alongside fellow producer and best pal Ireen Amnes.

We invited Chloé to take control of this week's Wednesday Alternative Mix, a moody and nostalgia-inducing mix of the raw, rumbling electronics that form the backbone of her DJ sets...
