After a very long production of Serenity's Embrace, the construction of Mercury's Lament was relatively easy for me. Because the plans for such a track are simpler. When it comes to chillout tracks, I often get lost in a wide variety of genres.
Spurred on by the many plays and likes of Blessdance, I have now decided to produce more on 120bpm -130bpm.

The current planetary constellation April 2024 is very special and gave me the impetus to dedicate a track to Mercury in particular during this time.

This track is harmonically tuned to D minor and thus to the handpan. I used it to compose and record the intermediate part. Since my system survived a terrible crash during the subsequent audio editing, I decided to recreate the line exactly as a midi track with Omnisphere2, a synthesizer from Spectrasonics with wonderful hang presets.

The beautiful digital and analogue mastering by Marco Amoazoo gives this track the final depth and clarity.

10 years ago, in 2010 I was on the beautiful island of Malta to perform at Earth Garden Festival. I spent the following days together with Soul Kontakt in his studio in St. Pauls Bay and the outcome was our first track together, "Simulated Reality".

This track came out in 2011 on my first compilation for BMSS Records called "Transition".

Over the coming years it got remixed by Etnica & Pleiadians, Cimi and Android Spirit (Daksinamurti`s and Tickets` project back then). Now in 2020, ten years after it was created I am more than happy to release 2 new remixes again on BMSS, celebrating our 200th release.

This second remix here is by Inverse Out, who send the track catapulting at 147 bpm into Suomi realms. The result is an unexpected tale full of tribal twists and playful turns.

Simulated Reality Remixed (Chapter 1) will be out via Beatport on Monday, October 12th. Teasers soon, stay tuned and stay tuned for the second chapter which will come our later in 2020.
