The Song Called DX7 (Yamaha DX7 demo)

This song showcases the basic sound of the Korg Mono/Poly. There are three instances of the Mono/Poly in this track (bass, pad and lead). The pad sound demonstrates the polyphonic (paraphonic) capabilities of the Mono/Poly, and it sounds quite convincing to me.

DX7 Turbo (Yamaha DX7 demo)

The first one is always the DSI pro8.

I have only had the Repro-5 beta for about one hour, so this is indeed a first impression. I am pretty impressed by how quick you can come up with useable presets on the Repro-5, as I used about 2 minutes to make the pad patch in the end. I think the two synths sound pretty similar, but they both have a character of their own.

I took my favorite self-made patches from my Prophet 8 and tried to replicate them on the Repro-5 soft synth. I guess it's time to say that soft synths have really reached the level of hardware analog synths.

In the beginning the audio clip the synths sound very similar, but a little further out the synths start to show their unique characters.

The first synth is always the Prophet 8.

This was played live and most are single presets. Some are splits and layers, only a couple are overdubs.

This is a collection of all the presets I have made and used for my songs and other peoples songs over the past few years. I have also tried to challenge myself and make sounds not associated with these synths, and toyed around with the sequencer to come up with unique sounds.
