July will see Ejeca kickstart his new label Exploris with a three-track EP.

Nominated Breakthrough Producer at Best of British 2013 and one of the most bookable names in the UK and beyond after big tunes on Needwant, 2020 Vision and Aus, the Belfast-based DJ has decided go his own way with a new label, but it's not exactly what you might expect.

'Rick Flair', 'Skitter' and 'Prototype' show Ejeca, known to his ma as Garry, venturing into pure techno territory. 

Envisioned as a chance to showcase his own stuff alongside emerging talent, Exploris is an exciting prospect for the man who brought us instant UK house classics like 'Horizon', 'Rosario' and 'Together' in 2013.

A gritty, genre-bending, techno introduction to Exploris, ‘Rick Flair’, ‘Skitter’ and ‘Protoype’ cut together direct, big room driving bass, with heavy synth and bouncier electro. Each track nods to the eclectic taste that will lay the foundations of the label, all the while giving a clear indication to the dynamic output that is soon to come. As the harder tones present Ejeca’s musical development, with labels like Pokerflat and BPitch taking note, Exploris’ sound can expect to evolve from release to release with collaborations on the way from friends and new, undiscovered talent.

The EP has already seen widespread acclaim, with radio support from nationally recognised BBC Radio One DJs like Skream, B.Traits, Monki and Toddla T, as well as exceptional feedback from DJs such as, Steve Bug, Catz N Dogz, Bicep, Eats Everything, Dusky, Nick Curly, GERD, Tim Sweeney and Phil Kieran.

The new release from Cocada Music’s catalog comes from Leo Janeiro, patron of the label and one of the driving forces of House Music in Brazil. The Copa Jazzin’ / Avec Moi EP arrives as a preview of his upcoming album — the first of three EPs to be released in sequence — reaffirming the essence of an artist with decades of dedication to both the dance floor and the studio.

The release is a real showcase of Ejeca’s ear for deep, driving techno beats and his continued evolution as a highly talented producer - capable of producing what has become an exceptional repertoire of era defining releases.

PH1 and Ascension dance effortlessly through through the acidic, minimal and melodic areas of techno to what culminates in a varied release with each track able deliver at different times of the night.

Guilty pleasures, we all have them. This release updates and fiddles with some serious guilty pleasures that all but the youngest of music fans will recognise. HOD Stash is a series of treasures from a label that shall remain nameless but you’ll no doubt recognise. 

Satin Jackets is the first to revive a track that needs no introduction. ‘Dee Baby’ removes all the elements that date this classic track and replace them with a different calmer soul. 

The last track on the A side see’s ‘Dee Baby’ get the dub treatment and Satin Jackets has created a key laden, familiar, behemoth of nostalgia for you to indulge on. 

Finally seeing us out we have EJECA’s musical marmite ‘Natal’ which plucks a very familiar sample indeed as he pulls off the impossible and crafts a trance guilty pleasure into an addictive, patient house groover peppered with a typically ravey vocal.
