This recording was taken from the rehearsal, this is the saxophone quartet chosen from the Aberdeenshire Saxophone Orchestra as part of a concert for Downstairs, Aberdeen on the 22nd of April. I was honoured to get the opportunity to play alto saxophone with a talented group of musicians and to perform fun arrangements such as this.

I was recently at a small recording studio at the Anatomy Rooms in Aberdeen, where I recorded a rough example track that my friend Rae had prepared. So we recorded me playing the saxophone twice and put the two tracks together and this is the result. Some pretty cool sections, especially the last staccato part. Hopefully this is the start of lots of new projects with Aberdeen musicians. And yes, you can hear me laugh both at the beginning and at the end of the recording!

This recording was taken from the Youth Music Initiative concert at Aden Country Park in Mintlaw, where Mr. Justin Brook decided to move from baritone to keyboard where he found a super cool 80's synthesizer like sound to match with Bebhionn Paterson's awesome arrangement of Jump by Van Halen. And this is the overall result.

I like to branch out as an enthusiastic freelance saxophonist, taking on board as many experiences in music.
I have been playing the saxophone since I was 15 and have been honoured to have been a member of several wind bands and jazz ensembles across Scotland. I can play five different instruments of the saxophone family all to a high standard, mainly using alto & tenor for solo work, performance recitals & examinations. I am currently teaching myself how to play the clarinet and flute with the interest to possibly get into woodwind tuition in the near future. Woodwind instruments have always been a key interest and wind bands in particular are a great passion of mine, a great opportunity to work well in a team, help others and play inspiring music.
